Probably not exerting too much ahead of the Giro, same for ArensmannI was more surprised that Sheffield didn't try to hang on, given his time trial abilities. But maybe he preferred to take it easy today.

Lucas Plapp 6.7 w/kg for 20 minutes today apparently.
Have to say the Swiss know how to put together a decent road surface though so I'm not as sure about the number.
That's right, Tour over in my opinion! The favorite for the Tour now?

He's doing the giro. Unlucky tadej. That's right, Tour over in my opinion!
Only if he wanted, but that was really a rare sight.Did Valverde ever make differences on 7% climbs? The riders have Valverde G2 syndrome
What does any of that have to do with Nys and Belgians?Alright, if you think guys with a bad ITT like Martinez or Mas could have dropped Ayuso or Vlasov and gained meaningful time on this climb that's your problem.
He attacked for like 5 minutes and the others were just seconds behind in the end. So that means everybody pushed big numbers.Lucas Plapp 6.7 w/kg for 20 minutes today apparently.

The best conditions will probably be for Asgreen...
The best conditions will probably be for Asgreen and Nelson Oliveira + Ivo Oliveira, Cavagna, Castroviejo, Cerny, Hayter fighting for the stage win.
it's not a particularly technical course, so I wouldn't think wifes or wet roads will be a major factor.Unfortunately, he has a beautiful wife...

And Mcnulty? The rain will probably come after 16h, but it will also rain a little before the stage.

Two minutes, what? Even Ganna wouldn't beat him by that much on a 15km ITTit's not a particularly technical course, so I wouldn't think wifes or wet roads will be a major factor.
There's still s an advantage to start in the dry, of course, but someone like Castroviejo would easily lose 2 minutes to Sheffield in equal conditions today. So I honestly struggle to see how he can become a contender for the win.
Sheffield is better than Ganna. Two minutes, what? Even Ganna wouldn't beat him by that much on a 15km ITT
If you say that the guy who only has one ITT win, and that was only in a PRO race, is better than Ganna then that must be true.Sheffield is better than Ganna.
it's irrelevant for the discussion anyway. But when the chance of rain is only 20-30%, I just don't see the point in trying to precisely predict the time of it 6 hours in advance, let alone base a favorites' prediction on it.If you say that the guy who only has one ITT win, and that was only in a PRO race, is better than Ganna then that must be true.
This post made me look at the profile on PCS, and I very briefly thought that it was a very happy co-incidence that the hilltop was called "Timing Point". It was only when I realised that they end the race in a place called Finish that I realised what I had done.Looking at the profile, there is clearly a descent.
You were saying? So Hayter is gonna win.
