    Teams & Riders Geraint Thomas

Somebody smarter than me will know how many cyclists have finished on the podium of a grand tour aged 38 or older. Can’t imagine it’s a long list…

Got his preparation spot on again by the looks of it.

Not an official rumour but given the comments by Arensman’s father about the Ineos trainers I think it’s safe to say he’ll be leaving as his contract expires at the end of this season.

Their season has picked up of late with Pidcock winning Amstel and Rodriguez winning Romandie. Their first world tour stage race GC win since 2022. Bernal looking strong throughout the spring is another big boost to the team. I like the look of the Giro team: Thomas, Arensman, Foss, Narvaez...

Teams & Riders Carlos Rodriguez- The Next Great Rodriguez Discussion Thread

Won his first stage race as a pro today in Romandie. My sense is he’s a rider who steadily gets better relative to everyone else during a stage race so I’m curious to see what he can do in the third week in July. Crashes have prevented us seeing his full potential in that third week during his...

Nicely done. 2nd Amstel win :). Definitely the race that suits him best on the calendar.

Very quiet season until today but he might be quite dangerous in July if he can keep building his form nicely.

Good to see. Could have been a lot worse.

Doubt he’ll be lining up for the Ardennes classics after that crash.

Well that was better than I expected at least. Sheffield was looking good in DDV before being caught in the big crash so maybe not too surprising. Tarling went down in the feed zone crash but recovered well. Not sure how well he rides the actual cobbles but he certainly seems to have the engine...

Not expecting a result in Flanders. It’s interesting how few race days they are planning to do this year compared to previous ones. Could see them struggling to get 15 wins this season. They had 36 last year.

Yes, I was surprised how strong he looked.

A shame we didn’t get to see what Ganna could do due to the mechanical.

Team looked quite strong in Paris-Nice today so that was a bit more encouraging. Bernal right up there. Carlos is still far from where you’d want him to be but at least he’s taken a step forward from Gran Camino.

UAE are really strong but pretty disappointing not to be beating those Jayco and EF teams in the Paris-Nice TTT. Not sure it really justified selecting Tarling and the first half of the course didn’t even suit him.

Yeah, should have sent Tarling to Tirreno. You know it’s going to be another down year for Ineos when Ganna can’t even win his flat Tirreno TT. The team hasn’t made any progress at all from what I can tell. Still early March but you tend to get a pretty good idea of where everyone is at by now.

Looked quite strong at the end but Pog is from a different planet.
