First time with Pozzovivo and Covili. Is this Fiorelli's fifth break of the Giro?
A while yet, I think. None of the people in the break are a proper top five threat other than Bardet, but Bardet is in stage hunt and then possibly KoM jersey mode. How long before Visma/Decathlon/Bahrain begin to worry about their top 5 placings and join in the chase?
Visma is short-handed, Decathlon and Bahrain could win the stage from the break. How long before Visma/Decathlon/Bahrain begin to worry about their top 5 placings and join in the chase?

Pog should have gone in the breakaway. I think we can be even more sick of him than we are.26 man group 4 min ahead, definitely breakaway day
Was already confirmed by local authorities days ago.So it is official, the Stelvio is out!
Fiorelli, aka Van Aert at home, is there for the points but yeah, those teams should ride, FFS!Why are the teammates of Bardet and Pozzovivo not really riding? What are they in there for?
I fear notAlpahilippe deliberately dropping to save energy for a different stage?
It's like 25% outSo it is official, the Stelvio is out!
heavy rain at 20km to go apparentlySome big black clouds there today.

plan B looks fineI just don't get why they always choose climbs that have a 50% failure rate or more, and not have a plan b while they are planing the stage.
That being said: the Stelvio was on a totally meaningless position on the stage, so not such a huge loss compared to what could have been, with a different route.
