I also designed a World Championship RR in SLC, with the part in Arlington Heights/Capitol Hills being nearly identical... By the way, I'm back after a long break (partially because password reset did not work until the new forum was implemented). University will take me some time, as do some...

Mayomaniac, your images from stage 3 have already been removed from pic-upload, despite being uploaded just 13 days ago...

Re: Re: @Mayomaniac The Novale climb is doable? (I just checked very few points on the road with Streetview)

You could have a run-in from Brixen, with two clims: Issengo/Issing (from Chienes/Kiens) and the climb to Novale vrom Valdaora/Olang. An alternative is the climb on the road 'Goste', of which Google Maps doesn't give a name near the top (it is near the Golserhof hotel/guest house). The overall...

Wouldn't that Toblach circuit be better the other way around? Now you have a pretty steep and dangerous descent.

That's a nice and useful tip, LS. If I knew that before, I didn't have to merge profiles in MS Paint (like I did for 2 of my Giro stages).

Nice sterrato stage, it will have big time gaps. I used sector 7 as the final one in stage 20 of my Giro. I haven't posted any races since then, because of university and other things.

@Libertine Never thought I'd see the Elfstedentocht mentioned here. I deeply respect you for knowing about like every sport in every country. More on-topic: there's a 1.2 km cobblestone road in Alkmaar, the Munnikenweg. Not really hard though.

I use Imgbox, it's a bit unknown but it says that images won't get removed. Before that I used Imgsafe, but that site was down for some time. (Those sites better not die from over-exposure, like many small image hosts...)

It's the hardest side of Chamrousse, which hasn't been used by the TdF yet. The road is a bit narrow, which is why ASO avoids it (probably).

You could also replace Champremier with the climb to Hers (from Nus), to avoid descending the hard side of Champremier. It's this profile until about 1000 m altitude, but going a bit higher (probably no profile for that part). It's 9,9 km @ 7,1%, with a false flat section in it, so it's a pretty...

European Championships - Velenje, Slovenia It's time for the road races. They are based on a 19,5 km long circuit in and around Velenje, but the run-in is different for each category. The circuit The circuit is 19,5 km long and features no less than 5 climbs. The finish line is on the...

European Championships: Velenje, Slovenia The European Championships in road cycling have existed since 1995. At first, it was only for U23 riders (men and women) and only a road race. The ITT was added in 1997. In 2005, the U19 (juniors) category was introduced, but it wasn't until 2016 that...

Nice stage, that second Montegranaro climb looks hard. And two 30% walls in short time on the Race Design Thread... Anyway, I'll have to decide what to post next. I have a few ideas: - a Tour of Austria - a Tour de France with foreign Grand Départ - a completely fantasy GT (no Tour...
