How do you keep sane on your trainer?

The Jens Factor is great! I stay sane listening to some tunes & Tour de France DVD's! Try not to think about your position too much... it's easy to nit pick little stuff while on the trainer.

Astana, in the new velodrome of Kazakstan

Certainly looks amazing! Kazakhstan is certainly financially backing cycling! What is the velodrome surface made of? What is the slope of the banking?

    What bike/bikes are you riding?

All custom... all carbon fiber :) I built this custom carbon fiber frame and built it up with Sram Force for a sweet riding road race bike! Top tube: 585mm Head tube angle: 72.5* Seat tube angle: 69* (super slack to recruit the gluteus maximus and relieve knee stress)

Converted to speedplay from time rxs. very happy.

Wow! That's great you're riding faster! It may also be due to the additional floats allows you to have better foot position! I know that I use the float as my foot angle varies slightly from day to day. I rode Speedplay X2's for 10 years. I loved them... easy to use and setup. I thought...

    Bikes are getting uglier

hope for ugly bikes I can't help if I'm ugly... but I certainly can choose a beautiful ride! Fortunately there are a few people making decent looking bikes... without eyesore paint and graphics! When designing a bike... one really needs to pick your battles. Generally "matching everything"...
