Tech you could not live without.

I also have to vote for clipless pedals; can't ride w/o them, had to in the past after getting used to them, had the worst calf cramps imaginable! I think I'd likely quit riding if I had to return to platforms. I don't own a bike computer anymore, and likely won't buy another; been off...

Should Theo Bos be suspended for this?

Dr. David Banner? Pal, I have an arthritic shoulder attached to a rebuilt collarbone, and I GUARANTEE I could fling you at least that far if we were bustin' it for the same space. Now, I see myself in the mirror daily (no, it doesn't break all that often), and I'm not green, or even all that...

Should Theo Bos be suspended for this?

I love the load of armchair psychologists here who are applying measured logic to actions that happened in split seconds; to listen to some of them, it's like hearing my kids: "I know his nose is bleeding, but I didn't mean to hit him with the book! I just threw it!" Accident? Bull...

    Word Filter/Censorship

Filters are good; they are devices of mental exercise. They make you think more creatively on how to get around them and still express yourelf. Sure, I hate the idea of anyone telling me what language I can and can't use; I'm an adult, full and well grown. But then, I don't like to hear...

    Salty Bike Shorts

+1. I'm much the same way -- after a good summertime ride, or even coming home from work in the summer, my shirts look like they're tye-dyed; helmet pads and straps look like they've been bleached. Oddly enough, I also discovered that Gatorade tastes better when I'm like this....lol

    Component's weight.

I just helped a bud put together a new bike; he's something of a weight weenie, too. Granted, it was nice handling all that bling while I assembled what he couldn't (which was about 2/3 of it), but in his case I can understand it a bit -- not only does he like the best stuff, he's not in good...

    Favorite quotes from the peloton

Sorry, but this one trumps you all: "GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN--NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN" (that's Tyler Hamilton grinding down the 11 teeth in the Giro, and however many more in the TDF the next year)

**** Pound's statement On Mr. Livestrong.

OK, so LA is the most tested athlete ever...he should know the routine, and WANT to keep the procedures straight. I WOULD, in his shoes! Everyone after ME, I'd want every T crossed, every I dotted, every Q curlied.... As far as Mr. Pound is concerned, he can go POUND sand up his a$$. You...

Do u agree about coments of lance on twiter that contador still has to learn

Not a big deal -- LA critiqued himself harder than that, both after Joux-Plane and in his books. Just because LA isn't smooching AC's chamois doesn't mean he's cutting him.... This is the grown-up, real world; nobody's promised 'a fair shake'. Nobody painted AC a rosy picture of him...

    Epic MTB rides

To my best riding buddy & me, epic means more than 2x our normal daily mileage; to our 3rd wheel (now in Iraq), epic would have been anything where he could hang with us for more than five miles. To my daughter, epic is anything that doesn't have a destination -- winds up in the area of 15-25...
