In his yearly interview Danny van Poppel ones again complains about not having a top sprinter to lead out. He suggest to go to the Tour with Meeus. But at the moment its uncertain.

I understand your point of view and the UCI promoting big money teams. But, Cofidis is only 400 points above Q36.5. It is still possible for them to lose everything. The battle between Picnic/Cofidis but also Tudor/Q will be fierce. And yes, wildcards can become again tricky.

I think you are forgetting someone. Milan is the strongest sprinter but somebody else is the fastest.

The first 2 weeks of the Giro were pretty boring imo. It was always the Pedersen show. Only on the last Tuesday the Giro came to life. So yes; as you can see in the overview of Valv.Piti the first decent stage is 10 or even 12.

I hope so! If I was RB director I would bring Lipowitz for GC with Van Gils/FFB for the hilly stages; probably no sprinter. But Denk would choose for Roglic, Vlasov, Martinez.

Jayco isn't riding for points (yet). Groenewegen wants to do a 3 week stage race with high mountains, good for him to practise climbing a bit. Two years ago he overdid it with Dauphine but last years route was working fine.

They shouldnt let Pena leave. Two years ago he was great here with Zana.
