Apparently we are not expected to call them Lotto Caps

While this one is for the rest of the season.

And Ineos will also have a new design to incorporate Total Energies split loyalties, but I don't think that's been made public yet.

Any others expected?

Not yet, but mainly last year almost every team had a (slightly) different jersey so I expect a few more.
If they can make money from selling replica jersey/merchandise we might eventually see new kits for every big race a’ la the NFL.

Is there really any money in these replica kits, esp the special editions? Anyone here ever bought one? Has anyone ever seen one in the wild?
Good question, I’m not sure there is in cycling. There certainly is money in it for the NFL, but that’s a whole different level of corporate sport.

10 years or more ago I saw a very, very, limited number of Sky jersey out on the road (like, maybe have seen 2 or 3 at all). Maybe it happens more outside the UK...
I still see Team Sky, Jumbo-Visma, Visma, Rabobank, Quickstep, Movistar, Caisse d'Epargne, Euskaltel, ONCE, Bahrain TBV Vuelta edition yesterday, Selle Italia iconic advertising jersey, Bora, UAE, Nibaly Italian champion Astana jersey (2014 I think). And of course the yellow jersey, pink jersey. In the past I rode in the maglia ciclamino with matching bibs from Milram/Petacchi (2010?).

I saw two kids wearing the yellow and the green jersey recently, and last year I saw a boy in a UAE ADQ kit which I found interesting.

No doubt to my parents' great delight, I wore the very, very pretty Team Memory Card Jack and Jones jersey the day we got taken our school photos in the (I think) second grade.

But that is one of only three team kits I have ever owned (the others being a CSC jersey and a Bora jersey I won on some competition on this forum).

Not the TdF special kit nonsense agian.

At leas Red Bull should be more easily recognizable now.
Yes, and given that this season has been quite terrible regarding many kits looking very much alike, I don't think it's a bad thing if more teams do it.

I have a Renault-Elf-Gitane replica kit, but one that was made 30 years after the team ceased to exist. My father had a Limar box with photos of the Gatorade team on it lying around for a long time, but I'm not sure he had ever actually owned the helmet.

For the teams, the Tour is the most important race because it gets by far the most attention. Accordingly, the advertising value for the sponsors is enormous. I think I've heard of figures around 80 percent in relation to the whole year.

A special jersey probably doesn't bring in the huge revenue in sales, but the media report on it again. The fans talk about it. I think the main reason to do it is just the extra advertising value because the names of the sponsors are mentioned and noticed even more.

It was different round here, but Brailsford lived (possibly still does) in a suburb of Derby. He used to attend a lot of local races/hill climbs and present a load of Sky kit as prizes. Bloke at work is still commuting in on it. That Rapha stuff was built to last.
