I'm a bit disappointed they didn't come into Glasgow from the south; ricocheting around some of the steep hills in the Clyde Valley would have made for a chase difficult to organise.

Aye, some of those stages are a pipe-dream and, as you say, belong in a mythical Tour of Scotland - I really should do one for the race design thread. However, with a little thought and creativity I think they could be made some of them work. I've got a little time of lets have a think...
