    Phil and Paul

I've about worn out my mute button...Sherwin and his repetitive, self absorbed drivel. At least this year we have a larger group of commentators.

What should be done about idiotic spectators?

Interesting that you are entertained by the crowd aspect more so than "boring" barrier shots. We are not entertained by the crowds and their antics and costumes and would prefer that they keep themselves off road where they can be a spectacle but not putting the riders at risk.

    Phil and Paul

Hey NBC.... We can not stomach Paul Sherwin any more. If he is commentating the TDF this year, it will be ruined, we will have to mute the shows. He is so in love with himself, even comparing himself to Sagan a while back. Please NBC, don't subject us to him anymore.

What should be done about idiotic spectators?

So annoyed as well So glad to see this discussion. Every mountain stage is nerve racking, hoping these running idiots don't cause a problem for the riders. We would like to see fines given to spectators who interfere with any rider. It would not be hard to post notices...no running in the...

Had enough of Paul! We are so tired of Paul Sherwin. He is arrogant and condescending, looking for ways to put Phil down.

Treadmill Vs Fixed Bicycle For Fitness

For me... For me, it depends how much energy I put into either one, I tend to have more stamina over time to work harder on a treadmill but indoor cycling can be as much a workout if I get past the tedium of it with intervals. Having done triathlons some years ago, I found out that if you do...

    Hincapie confession?

Nazi Party? I am not a defender of Karl Rowe (Rove) or Limbaugh but I am repulsed by your comment...Nazi Party? I wish to read about cycling and Hincape, not your political views which might possibly be quite flawed.

Dried fruit for carbs while climbing?

Aah, dates are a favorite and medjools are sumptuous while having no added sugar. I haven't tried them riding yet. I just did the calculations, I would need about 54 g per hour, just a tad over 2 oz US. So, the fructose is just slower but not unavailable. I will give this a go. Thank you...

Dried fruit for carbs while climbing?

Makes sense! I see what you mean, I hadn't thought about the energy needs of digesting the dried fruit taking energy from the legs. Don't want that. Humm...hydrated chia seeds, interesting! Thank you LauraLyn!

Got any home made energy bar Recipes?

homemade 'pay day' recipe In my triathlon days, we debated over the best quick compact recovery food and it was decided that Payday bars had everything you need. This recipe is easy. The mixture is very soft at first but in a day or two, you can cut nice bars...

Dried fruit for carbs while climbing?

I am tired of gels and sports drinks for sustained energy while cycling moderate to steep hills and have switched to dried fruit (most with added sugar). I have read that the fructose in fruit isn't immediately useful to the muscles. Am I shorting myself on some energy doing this?

    Research on Belief in God

We make our choices I am heartened that you gave the article a chance, reading it and giving it your thoughts. Eve knew what she was doing. She was tempted and then made the choice to go against Gods' command. My take on evil. Even the angels are given free will, the choice of good...

    Research on Belief in God

Bah! checkmate! Your poster is not checkmate: http://www.christianpost.com/news/how-to-answer-why-would-god-allow-evil-68390/ My favorite point is #5 because none of us are without evil in our hearts.

    Research on Belief in God

I was hoping to answer Hitch, since he asked, to the time schedule of our Earth. I agree that God is most definitely omniscient and omnipotent and certainly could just start us anywhere at any point in time but why did we come along when we did. Beers' explanation was good, with the...
