It would be a major fail for me if RB don't at least get a few second places in the next 2 years. Remco, Hindley, pelizzari, Rogla, Lipo... Surely one of them can do it...
Wrong strategy, should have worked his way up gradually. That said, VTT field quality is very high right now. At one point he was on Pidcocks level but he's been away from the discipline too long.
I'm OK with doing that to make a name for yourself or at the end of your career but Vine probably is on Pidcock`s level, with a much better TT, in this Vuelta.
Jorgenson said after the stage that the plan was to go for the win with Jonas, and it didn't work out. A strong Vingegaard could have taken more than a minute from Joao yesterday and put the race away, especially with all the uncertainty.
He's fine on RB for two more years but they may want him to take a pay cut. In that case he should go where the pay is best. Wouldn't mind Ineos, he can lead any GT for them. I'm not quite ready for stage hunter Rogla yet.
There's a lot of good riders in this category. Can win week-long stage races and minor one day events but true classics and GTs require something exceptional. Other option is to go to a lesser team and rack up bottom of top 10 / 15 in GTs..
Because he'll have unquestionably loyal support riders. Whether that plays out or not is TBD but he won't be competing with other young GC talents in the same jerseys.
You mean joining UAE? Wasn't clear what you meant.
If so, maybe but he had no problem winning stages on Alpecin (though one was from the peloton iirc?).
His ambitions should be GC.
