He is getting better. I'm glad he tried the double but he should focus on the Tour next year. I'm pretty confident he can win it one more time.

Great picture. Even Froome looks like he is glad that he already put minutes into Thomas. Contador just angry. Quintana looks like Thomas broke his heart.

Re: Maybe he was making a point? Not happy with the team? If he feels really strong I can even understand him, but I'm sure he will get another shot at a second stage win. No need to do strange things on the road.

Re: If people don't include 2010 than they should also not forget, that his only focused tour attempts after his last win were 2013 and 2014 and in one of those races he crashed out. It sounds great (from the perspective of a critic) to say, that he won his last Tour 6 years ago, but I think...

I still don't know what he was thinking today...dropping everyone while Contador was not directly behind him and 10 sec. later...the drop-off. Can't recall, that I've ever seen something like it.

In fact (didn't look like it and under todays conditions it's even more impressive) they rode pretty fast, so I'm very pleased with his performance today.

So Contador, Nibali, Valverde and Quintana all got humiliated by Sky doms. Great.
