How would you rate the first week of TDF 2017

So-so thus far. Even the scenery has been lacking - the Giro has far superior scenery, thus far anyway. The only drama in this TdF seems to be the soap opera stuff - Sagan, Aru. Too much inside baseball if you ask me. The bright spot for me is that on NBC Gold it's ad-free and I don't have to...

    2017 Giro d'Italia, Stage 4: Cefalú - Etna 181 km

Re: Re: This makes sense. We can always hope for some fireworks, though. Last year showed that first-week performance really doesn't mean all that much. People were calling on Nibbles to drop out during the first week.

    2017 USA TV Schedule

Re: The DVR is working well for me. I also love the commentary, it's been hilarious, actually, during the more boring sections. And I really appreciate no ads. I get tired of the same ads 1000x on Sling/bein Sports. I can recite them verbatim usually by the end, even the ones in Spanish...

    2017 USA TV Schedule

THANK YOU to everyone on this thread. I feel like every year the methodto watching Giro changes. I was all set to go to Sling or Bein this year and discovered a big 0. I've followed the advice here and am all set with the DVR feature now so I can record it during the day and watch when I get...

Hot racing coming up in Australia

This race is so damned boring. If this was the first bike race I'd ever watched I'd never watch again. Literally, nothing happens. No attacks, no hills, no nothing.

    Rate the 2016 Vuelta

I gave it a 10. I very much enjoyed watching. I thought the racing was exciting and the scenery was beautiful, better than usual for the Vuelta, which sometimes seems to make Spain seem almost ugly. I liked that it was a head-to-head battle between the current greats of the sport. The only...

2016 Vuelta a España, stage 15: Sabiñánigo > Aramón Formigal

Is anyone not a Fan of anyone?

I'm a fan of exciting racing and not a fan of domination by one person or one team. I am a huge Vino fan, simply because Vino got me interested in this sport. When I saw him, covered with mud, going all-out in the 2010 Giro I fell in love with him and with bike racing. So I owe it all to him...

2016 Vuelta a España, stage 17: Castellón > Mas de la Costa

Great finish! I feel like this Vuelta has been real racing - a showdown between the greats. The kind of grand tour we can dream about. There's something special about seeing those four battling it out without teammates head-to-head up a steep climb. Great stuff. Really loving this Vuelta this...

Should the grupetto have been DQ'd on Stage 15?

Re: Why would Astana be banned for doing what they are there for - participating in a bike race? They had a top-10 position to defend.

2016 Vuelta a España, stage 15: Sabiñánigo > Aramón Formigal

Re: Can you get NBC Sports Gold where you live? It's only $20 and has unlimited replay - NO commercials!! It's so worth it. I see other people complaining in this thread about ads - no reason to sit through ads when for $20 you can eliminate. I finally finished watching this stage last...

    2016 Vuelta a España, Info & Discussion

I'm disappointed that Froome will be at the Vuelta. I hope it doesn't make it as boring as the TdF was as a result of his participation. Hope for better performances from Quintana and Contador, I guess.
