Dylan Johnson didn't make it. Getting hit by a car, sucks. Based on results, he didn't deserve to be in next year. For what he's done for Lifetime in the time he was there, you'd think they might consider him being in, anyway. Sure, he can get in on a wildcard, but I think that's going to be...

Cycling Gear Sub $2KAUD Carbon Wheels

If you follow and trust Hambini (and he has never steered me wrong), then 9Velo wheels are the way to go. I'll also throw in ICAN wheels, as I have 3 sets, they're 1340 grams, and 3 years in, I still love them. My next set will be a 9Velo though.

    How wide is too wide?

When you ride dirt, either cross, gravel or MTB, the question of disc v. V-brakes or Canti's isn't even close. If you want to be stupid and ride an inferior technology, be my guest. In terms of tires, I think gravel is the reason things are getting wider on the road, and I have to say that I've...

Teams & Riders Official Wout Van Aert thread

Mathieu came to LA a month or so ago. Wout, always coming in second.

And yes, I know I wrote this just a week ago. The earlier races were good, but without some of the other stars starting to show up, I think it will be the Lucinda Brand show for the most part, with a sprinkling of other riders winning. It would be nice to see some nuclear racing.

Women's races are really suffering from not having Fem, Shirin, Puck, and Ceylin racing. Today was slightly interesting, but not overly so. Lucinda kept doing the "I'll help close in the sand, but you're going to need to catch her on the faster parts" with Casasola, but past that, it was a...

    Unbound

I am tubeless only on everything, though I carry a TPU with me. I love running low pressure. Yeah, the mini-compressor is a great little tool. Set the exact psi, and it quickly gets you to that pressure, and stops. I have always worn Sidi's, as their 43 in normal width, has always been the...

    Unbound

One of the guys at my shop did Baja Epic. He's a freaking stud, and he said it was harder for him, because of the heat and remoteness, than Tour Divide. My wife and I are eyeing Paris Brest Paris as our next big adventure, and I'm considering Leadville this year. Just have to see how things...

Yeah, it was like the gods kept flicking him today. It was kind of amusing, even though I cheer for him, normally. But Joris winning is always my preference.

Not yet, he has an injury that was bothering him last year, and I think he had surgery on it. Really gutted for Fem, as I think her mental state is still really bad. I hope she is able to get to a place in life where she's okay, regardless of whether that includes cycling.

    Unbound

Got my guaranteed entry code, registered. Seems weird to be excited about riding 200 miles in Kansas, but here I am. I'm super stoked!! Funny, I considered today to be my first Unbound training ride, rode 45 minutes, popped my chain (didn't bring my tool pouch, which I usually do), had to walk...

The races have been really good, but I wish Alvarado were racing, because she'd make them ever better.
