Really bot a good look for him...

Mads and Wout had literally just punctured as well without them waiting.
That's actually a really good interview, if you go past the headline. Bjerg actually says that it might just be him being a sore loser, and later again says he hates to lose!
I like Bjerg quite a lot, he's not very filtered in interviews so he's always entertaining to hear from!

I'll agree with his "I'm a bad loser" comment.

It's all so damn silly. I still blame Armstrong for the whole "waiting" nonsense.

I missed the broadcast part where Mathieu took Phillpsen's bike. Once again sprinters be sprinters. How could he had off a bike with different pedals? That another racing 101 fail. Any rider, ANY RIDER that is tasked with prime support of the studhorse should be on the same pedals and as close to the same frame/cockpit setup as possible. You don't give Soler's bike to Quintana.....as if Soler would ever do that!

I found this quote from Bjerg very curious but somewhat enlightning:

Sometimes you might get lucky and he’ll (Pogacar) be allowed to sit behind a car, but when you’re riding in the World Championship jersey, there’s no help to be had. But that’s just the way it is, Mikkel Bjerg told TV 2 Sport.
Ok this is like a first. An UAE rider complains that they are disadvantaged. I don't doubt his feelings though. I guess he means it is because the cameras are on Pogi all the time, that UAE can't do a "Plugge" or get a car pull for an extended period of time. Like how in Mailand San Remo Visma was taxiing Wout and friends with 70km/h back to the peloton. You could see that in short cut during the transmission.

The latter is a particularly funny example 😆

Ok, that really makes no sense because UAE had pushed the pace forcing a split before Pogačar had that mechanical so it was kind of their own fault that Pogačar couldn‘t be in the cars. Does he expect that a group of 50 gets to draft the UAE car just so Pogačar can get back to the group these guys lost contact with? That‘s not how it works at all and Bjerg should know that.
