strongest and tactically advantaged. Having a teammate in MvPs group as a tailgunner can't be dismissed. Wout started missing pulls at 40 km. He was the fastest in the last 400m.Yesterday, the one who was strongest in the final 60 kilometers won.

Everyone would be surprised if you didn't. It's that kind of challenge. No one cares if you puncture at Paris-Roubaix.
Ok this is like a first. An UAE rider complains that they are disadvantaged. I don't doubt his feelings though. I guess he means it is because the cameras are on Pogi all the time, that UAE can't do a "Plugge" or get a car pull for an extended period of time. Like how in Mailand San Remo Visma was taxiing Wout and friends with 70km/h back to the peloton. You could see that in short cut during the transmission.Sometimes you might get lucky and he’ll (Pogacar) be allowed to sit behind a car, but when you’re riding in the World Championship jersey, there’s no help to be had. But that’s just the way it is, Mikkel Bjerg told TV 2 Sport.
The latter is a particularly funny example 😆I missed the broadcast part where Mathieu took Phillpsen's bike. Once again sprinters be sprinters. How could he had off a bike with different pedals? That another racing 101 fail. Any rider, ANY RIDER that is tasked with prime support of the studhorse should be on the same pedals and as close to the same frame/cockpit setup as possible. You don't give Soler's bike to Quintana.....as if Soler would ever do that!
Ok, that really makes no sense because UAE had pushed the pace forcing a split before Pogačar had that mechanical so it was kind of their own fault that Pogačar couldn‘t be in the cars. Does he expect that a group of 50 gets to draft the UAE car just so Pogačar can get back to the group these guys lost contact with? That‘s not how it works at all and Bjerg should know that.I found this quote from Bjerg very curious but somewhat enlightning:

I mean, lets just shut the entrance to and exit of Aremberg, when the riders go through, and release a ravenous pack of wolves, and see who is actually the strongest.Should they get rid of the cobbles and put some hills in Paris Roubaix? After all, we all want the strongest to win.
Of course, being a Wout fan, it's easy for me to say, but I believe this is the most popular win I have ever watched. Even some of the detractors here, were glad he won. What a beautiful video!
Loved it!!!
While it's true this media is trumpeting the fastest PR ever by Wout and....er Tadej they conveniently miss the big point.@ unchained
seriously?
I find it pathetic - not the dedication bit but self-contentment that it was a win OVER a world champion. He literally carried him over the finish line
@RedheadDane's wormhole proposal would solve the spacetime quandary.
I’m not sure if you mean Pog’s first puncture but if that(?) it was the Shimano car stopping to the left (wrong side) and the doctor car (cabriolet) stopping to the right. That caused a severe traffic jam and held up riders that were only about 40 seconds after the first group. It should not have happened like that but they might have panicked a bit since it was the World Champion and the main favorite standing there.I’m glad you brought up the UAE car stopping in the middle of a cobbled sector forcing something like 50 riders to slow, stop, or dismount to get through there.
Agree on all your points. Pid should have played completely coldThis is why i argued comprehensively that Pidcock made a mistake by working too much with Pogacar. I said Pogacar wanted San Remo and would have pulled regardless if Pidcock had fake pulled/barely pulled/stopped pulling. That Pogacar would rather do a 1vs1 sprint against Pidcock than let the others come back. I said Pidcock should have gambled more and if he had done so he might have had a bit fresher legs and Pogacar might have been a bit more tired. Enough to overcome the slight sprint different at the finish line. I was laughed out of the room. I feel vindicated after this Roubaix.
A major miss by Alpecin. Roodhoft assumed full responsibility. There will be many lessons learned from this year.I missed the broadcast part where Mathieu took Phillpsen's bike. I don't even think what Bjerg said was an issue. Because he followed it up with: Maybe I'm just a sore loser, and it's all too fresh.I think what's important is what the protagonist said. I wouldn't give more weight to what a mere domestique says.
I think the protagonist was very elegant. But we live in an era where everything negative is magnified. Bjerg's opinion would never be more important than his leader's, but his leader sais this; then Bjerg's opinion becomes more interesting because it's controversial.
Except for Legruppeto, all the accounts copy Bjerg's statements, not what their leader says. This is more effective at generating bait.
It's a shame we can't focus on the mutual respect shown in these statements and instead prioritize what Bjerg says. That's how the world works now; toxicity triumphs.

pogi doesnt respect roglaI think a lot of people are happy Wout won, it's kinda shocking to me it's only his 2nd monument victory. There's definitely big respect between the top dogs of cycling (except Remco-Jonas pair, which stands out a bit!).
As for Pogacar, hopefully he will give himself more chances in the future to win this race, there's still time. The more times one tries the bigger the chance for victory (like in MSR).
First the beautiful wife interview and now this. I see great potential for Bjerg to ascend to the highest heights of the forum meme rider hall of fame.![]()
