Milan San Remo, March 21, 2026, 298 km monument

I think people put too much weight on del Toro, he is amazing but he is still mortal. He will have a host of people following him that can keep up on the relatively shallow slopes. Even if Pog goes over cipressa solo without mvdp he is stuffed as the group will catch him. He needs strong riders...

Omloop was domination, this was him scraping all his bike handling skills and racing brains together to get the edge on his rivals and get over the line first. Great to see it.

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

Fascinating, so maybe he is just much heavier this year in preparation for the only races that really matter before TDF - MSR and Roubaix? You would think with 40 extra watts the gap would have been bigger.

Are these estimated watts? Cause if the question is whether the gaps seen with our own eyes make sense or if the watt estimates on gravel up and down hills are off I think I know which I'm relying on.

Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

The legends and prophecies of a coming French cycling saviour are true 😮 Great ride! And as a teenager. Normally you would say he needs to get away from a French team but Decathlon are cashed up so maybe this is the coming together of all things.

Also not the same level of races and competition to UAE tour. Still very early in the season when talking about the tour.

Great stage. Plapp was very impressive there! Del Toro going to be great to watch the next few years.

That's why I said it may have been Pogs best chance ever. If mvdp is fit it's going to be extremely hard to ride him off the wheel on the flat and not great odds in a sprint.

Mvdp got a flat near the end. Do we really think mvdp would have caught back up with Pog on smooth roads again before the sprint? I wonder if that was Pogs best chance for a win at Roubaix. What might have been.

Pogi transcends such categories. Your can't say he isn't a cobbled classic rider. RVV he is almost unbeatable and he has ridden PR once, and if he had not ridden off a corner he would have won - and he still came second. I still back mvdp for Roubaix but the only thing you can say pogi isn't, is...

    Most exciting wins of 2025?

Dang I forgot about this gem. Too bad he multi-crashed at the Giro. Story of Primoz career though isn't it.

Question Comparing Pogacar's two historical seasons

Measuring wins alone 2024 stands out, however second in 2025 Roubaix was a defining result for me. It is what elevates Pogacar to Merckx level - the GT and climbing specialist who contests Roubaix is practically unheard of. Had he not stuffed that corner, the subsequent MVDP flat may have given...
