I'm planning to attack the Team Sprint at the SoCal Masters State Championships at the ADT Velodrome in less than 2 weeks. I'll be riding 3rd and am considering going with a 94" gear (49x14) instead of a 92" (48x14). Any recommendations on what riders 1 and 2 should ride?

since I am not an "elite" rider there is no way I can push a 98. I will however test on a 94 and perhaps a 96. My 200 meter gear is a 94 and with that I can do a 12.3. I have been working hard so I think you're convincing me to go bigger. Definitely worth testing.

Tufo tape I've been using Tufo tape since last summer. No issues. It just works. Cane Creek Sprint 85's with Conti Sprinters.

SoCal Cross Southern California has been seeing big numbers for 'cross races. There are two competing series and now there is talk of an All California Championship race. Year after year it just keeps getting bigger.

I saw Freddie Rodriguez on a ride once years ago. Attempted to ride with Tinker Juarez up a hill. That lasted about 4 seconds.
