    The Most Devastating Attack

Andrei Tschmil going off the front in the 1994 Paris Roubaix and soloing to victory. He kicked the crap out of everyone and even pulled a sweet bunny-hop over a traffic island.

    Need New Gloves!

Winter gloves I purchased a pair of 661 Transitions before the US Cyclocross Nationals and was very happy with their performance. The temps were low and my hands we not numb in the cold. While my hands weren't hot they were comfortable enough to brake and shift in the 22 deg F(and lower)...

    What are you riding?

old school I'm riding my Fuji Cross - steel - with a carbon fork. Heading into my 5th CX season. I don't really spend much on equipment, just try to make what I have last as long as possible. Wasting money on a carbon CX frame is not my deal. I go just as fast on steel as I do on carbon. I have...

    Team Sprint gearing

I'm planning to attack the Team Sprint at the SoCal Masters State Championships at the ADT Velodrome in less than 2 weeks. I'll be riding 3rd and am considering going with a 94" gear (49x14) instead of a 92" (48x14). Any recommendations on what riders 1 and 2 should ride?

    Kilo training

since I am not an "elite" rider there is no way I can push a 98. I will however test on a 94 and perhaps a 96. My 200 meter gear is a 94 and with that I can do a 12.3. I have been working hard so I think you're convincing me to go bigger. Definitely worth testing.

    Naive about cycling

SoCal Cross Southern California has been seeing big numbers for 'cross races. There are two competing series and now there is talk of an All California Championship race. Year after year it just keeps getting bigger.

    Ever ridden with a Pro?

I saw Freddie Rodriguez on a ride once years ago. Attempted to ride with Tinker Juarez up a hill. That lasted about 4 seconds.

Erik Zabel - the best sprinter?

2nd-itis is tough - Zabel has definitely had a lot of that.

Track Encino Velodrome is my home track. I've raced ADT before - pure bliss.
