Teams & Riders Alberto Contador Discussion Thread

Don't worry. I am sure he will do fine in the last ITT. In a prologue it's easy to lose some time. He needs 25-30 sec on Uran. And less on Nibali. Should be doable.

Teams & Riders Alberto Contador Discussion Thread

Nibali's win is not tainted. There was no duel against Contador and Froome. Don't bring them into one sentence with the Tour de France 2014. Is it that difficult to accept that the win was not tainted but he still didn't beat them head to head because the destiny didn't allow that opportunity...

    2015 Paris Nice Stage 2 Saint-Agnan to Saint-Amand-Montrond 172km

Super strong break, G. Thomas , Tony Martin, Matti Breschel and L.Boom.

    I'd say Pelucchi.

2015 Tirreno - Adriatico Route Unveiled

IMO better. In case they'd do the whole climb....those 3 km of false flat would be at a crucial point where normally the action starts (5-6 km from the finish). Now we have steady climbing until the 1 km banner.

2015 Tirreno - Adriatico Route Unveiled

Terminillo is a HC climb: They ride until Campoforogno (1675 m) 17 km 6.78 % if we take the whole climb. If we discount the last almost flat km and the first one (2.9%), we have 15 km with an average of 7.36 %. There is also another flat km in the middle of the climb. For most part...

    Contador vs Froome 2015

What a shame. I was eager to see Contador putting the score to 2-1 in a great duel. Catalunya has a sh!tty route. A hillfinish - La Molina is not a real mountain with those 3-4 km, ideal for Kwiatkowski. And that's it. Not even a prologue. Barely any mountains. We have to wait until the Tour.

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

+1 Let's hope for some great tactics and a good Nibali in the Tour. I don't think Quintana has enough to win the Tour. I have a feeling that after Andalucia....Alberto and Chris will be training with an incredible motivation and that they forget about everything other than training and...

Teams & Riders Peter Sagan discussion thread.

His sprints in the flat stages of Tour of Quatar were not bad though. Once narrowly missed the win against Kristoff who is already in great form. Like someone said..we need to wait until after Tirreno / MSR.

    Paris - Nice 2015 (2.WT) 8.3 - 15.3

Bouhanni has to win this time. Most top tier sprinters do T-A. Maybe he kickstarts his season here. Win and gain confidence.

Teams & Riders Alberto Contador Discussion Thread

Look, the go up until 1675 m. They don't do the whole climb (until 1675 m). Only the last km is flat (2%). When you look at the profile it's 15 km ...constantly uphill...average over 7%. I repeat...the other side from Leonessa has only 10 km of climbing....average 7.43 %. If you arrive at...

Teams & Riders Alberto Contador Discussion Thread

IMO the side they do is the hardest. The other side has 2 km over 9% but the rest of the climb is similar and the real climbing is only 10 km (7 km if you stop at 16xx m) compared to 15 km of climbing to the finish line (more if they did the whole climb. The other side starts at around 900 m...

I think they go the " don't change a winning formula" way. Aru is doing the same.

    Contador vs Froome 2015

They can do it 2013 style. Both protected and play the game. Kreuziger was (or better would have been if you consider the form of Alberto that year) a great help that year. I'm confident that Majka can be at least as strong, probably stronger. Of course Porte and Nieve are great doms. But I...
