    USA Procycling Challenge 2013 (2.HC)

Brenes was in the Movistar continental team in 2011-2012. He was pretty good in the Vuelta a Colombia in 2011, I seem to remember. Unfortunately last year the team downsized from a continental team to a Colombian domestic team due to sponsor decisions, and Brenes lost out.

When will Rujano come out of retirement?

Given that he is not retiring until Feb. 2014, I'd go for option 1 or 2. Depends if Vacansoleil let him race again this year, otherwise it'll be the Vuelta a Tachira in January (unless Savio selects him for the Worlds).

    Confirmed Tour Teams/Pre-Selections

Serpa has already done the Giro and the Dauphine, so any momentum will have to come from Quintana, I suspect.

    World Championship team qualifying system

If that's the case they should get 9, because they always finish top in the America Tour ranking, which in gives them another 6 spots (in theory).

Who will win the 2013 tour?

He won't, most probably - http://laopinion.com.co/demo/demo/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=417418&Itemid=41 The reason he is not racing before the Tour is that he did both Pais Vasco and the Ardennes when he was originally only supposed to do one or the other. Unzue is just being...

    Critérium du Dauphiné 2013

Sorry, I meant Quintana, not Betancur, as people were talking about Quintana maybe doing the Vuelta.

    Critérium du Dauphiné 2013

He already said he won't be doing the Vuelta. 2 GTs in a row is too much for a 23 year-old.

2013 Tour of Romandie, Stage 3: Payerne - Payerne 181 Km

Organisers decided to keep tomorrow's stage as it is. Apparently there is little chance of snow before 6pm. Source

2013 World Championships Firenze. Who will win?

Don't worry, continental riders can still be selected for the team. It's just that their results won't count when deciding rider allocations. This is all assuming that the UCI haven't changed the rules since last year.

2013 World Championships Firenze. Who will win?

Because the top 10 teams in the WT get 9 riders, but only if they have 9 riders who have scored WT points. That's why last year, Slovakia, for example, had only six riders although they were in the top 10. Places not taken up by those teams are redistributed to the teams ranked 11-15, so that's...

2013 World Championships Firenze. Who will win?

They may well end up with fewer riders than last year (7) - Sarmiento, Anacona (injured), Serpa (working for Scarponi in the Giro) and Ospina are far from certain to score any WT points before the cut-off date, so they will probably only get 6 riders.

    Colombia - Coldeportes

Agree with your first 8, but I think they might take Avila to help out Duque in the sprints.

Is Uran under Kerrison? I know he was a little unhappy at starting his season in Mallorca - he usually trains in Colombia until the end of February, but the team wanted him to change things around this year.

    Tour of Romandie 2013

I'd reserve judgement until the queen stage. Don't forget Rujano did well in uphill TTs even in 2008, when he was in poor shape for most of the season.

    Jonathan Tiernan-Locke Discussion Thread

The main problem seems to be that he has been put on a very tough training programme a la Froome etc, and it has been too tough for him. See the interview posted above.
