Re: "Peak form" from first race till the Tour is an oxymoron. The peak is naturally from putting your body in a state one can not sustain for longer periods of time.

In RVV Boonen knew he had to get ahead the favourites to have a chance at performing. He will likely think the same in Paris Roubaix and QST will have even more riders to control the race or challenge the others depending on how the race turns out.

You can clearly see Gilbert enjoying riding at the moment and he does not preserve his strength looking for a real workout whenever he has the opportunity. Today he takes his turns with ease and is most likely on an even better level come Sunday in RVV.
