In the USA they have been trying to grow the popularity of soccer/football for going on 50 years (see NY Cosmos signing Pele) and it is still not popular at all.

IMO Kuss isn't himself right now (maybe he has an artery issue Lol), but even should he regain last years form there's no chance everyone will let him go up the road like last year.
Hard to tell if the issue with Kuss is partially lingering effects of Covid (even in stage 3 in Burgos he didn't look as strong as I would expect - he seemed to be laboring a lot on that final climb) or that everyone on the team is crap. His team looks Conti caliber at best .
