Vuelta lost by Carapaz. His late attack showed he had the legs, but obviously did not have the balls to attack when he should have. On the steep part of the climb, with about 5k to go. Better to try and lose 3rd to Carthy than to lose the Vuelta as he did. Movistar behaviour really shameful...

I think he was saved by the branches of the trees next to the bridge, which somehow slowed down his fall. Perhaps he tried to grab them and even managed for that split of a sec that saved him from more serious injuries.

I think Nibali will also ride the Vuelta, ideal preparation for the WCC

Obviously it's not nice thinking of the horrible crash Froome had last week, but I find those "voodoo" jokes on Nibali quite funny, tbh. And I say it as a true fan of Vincenzo.

I find it totally absurd that it has taken 8 years for the UCI to find out that something is wrong. Simply ridiculous.
