Short term crit intensive training + tactics to syay up front

I recently got to compare power files with a friend who was in the same 60min crit as me (P/1/2 in the USA, and about 6-7 domestic pros out of 110 riders). We weigh the same (68kg), he rode in the back and I rode between 5th and 20th wheel for this race. My average power was 252w, while his...

    Death of the frame pump

I'll get chased locally by some dogs (rural Wisconsin), but never attacked. But training in North Carolina, there are tons of unleashed dogs that go for blood. Some of them don't feel water when you squirt them. I carry a frame pump because I could care less about vanity on my $800 carbon...

Joe Papp pleads guilty to distributing drugs, pt 2

I'm finding it impossible to believe the innocence you try to convey in your post. Besides being a pathological liar and cheat, you hint that there are more than the 187 riders on which you refuse to comment. Even your lackluster apology, "It's ultimately my fault" just conveys the message...

Joe Papp pleads guilty to distributing drugs, pt 2

I'm not quite sure why people are willing to just let him off the hook because "it was in the past." The guy smuggled in illegal drugs, made tens of thousands of dollars (at least), and then distributed drugs to nearly 200 people -- and potentially a lot of juniors. What makes him better...

    Tom Danielson

Tom Danielson can do GREAT in short tours like the ToC. In fact, he can flat out win them. But, anything above ~2 weeks and he DNFs with an illness. He'll never be a good GT rider, but never count him out for the short stuff.
