I'll get chased locally by some dogs (rural Wisconsin), but never attacked. But training in North Carolina, there are tons of unleashed dogs that go for blood. Some of them don't feel water when you squirt them.

I'm not quite sure why people are willing to just let him off the hook because "it was in the past." The guy smuggled in illegal drugs, made tens of thousands of dollars (at least), and then distributed drugs to nearly 200 people -- and potentially a lot of juniors.

Tom Danielson can do GREAT in short tours like the ToC. In fact, he can flat out win them.
But, anything above ~2 weeks and he DNFs with an illness. He'll never be a good GT rider, but never count him out for the short stuff.
