Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 4 (Post-Settlement)

Re: Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 4 (Post-Settlement When you strip back all the envy, bias, and hate written against Lance he's a decent person that prefers to defend himself and the sport rather than go on the attack against others he dislikes. He also never insulted humanity by...

    13/05 - 19/05: Tour of California

I miss the old Tour Tracker, with the live video and an overlay of every important rider's position at all times. Felt like Buck Rogers tech in a cycling world still seemingly stuck in 1970s era CRT-honed graphics. At least it's still free :( Btw if you're region-locked then a VPN will...

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

I love the raw jingoism here then immediately criticizing other countries of that. Pot calling the kettle black.

Re: It's a fantastic shade, agreed. Although I've always wondered how wearing cool colors affects performance.

    Motor doping thread

Re: Re: Yes, he changes gears in the rear cassette using his right hand. Not seeing it here guys. I do see the rocking of his body characteristic of a large burst of effort right at the point of acceleration and gear change.

Cannondale getting dropped in the new era of cycling

So JV gets bashed for his association with doping in the past yet also for his team not winning. Can't have it both ways guys. I wouldn't be surprised if he indeed isn't involved or privy to doping and his riders need to find their own supply.

Samuel Sanchez positive for growth hormone

Re: Re: I'm not sure I understand this line of reasoning and how it's different from everyone else in professional cycling saying the sport is clean. Do you think he should come clean and tell all, destroying the sport and ruining everyone's life whose career is dependent on pro cycling...

Samuel Sanchez positive for growth hormone

That's my speculative hunch. The biggest fish with the least negative consequences, a guy about to retire anyway.

    Tour of Utah is Cleans

For what it's worth, they have volunteer positions listed to help with anti-doping, whether it's actually uses is another story.

    Motor doping thread

Re: Re: His SRM power numbers were published on Training Peaks. They look legit (high, no motor) at a glance but I can't zoom in as I don't have a premium subscription. Normalized power was 347 W which is extremely high. Got to wonder how much stress that, plus any sort of rear hub...

    Quintana??

Re: Pretty much, the one exception being motor doping that would probably affect even the most hardened homer.

    Motor doping thread

The (probably not motor) elephant in the room for me was him looking way off on a tangent, very bizarre but not explained by a motor. It seems like a classic momentary lapse of concentration, misreading the course ahead of him, with a desperate attempt to correct his path causing the loss of...
