Why is the quality of the photos displayed on this website SO BAD.. I understand the need to have the website load with some reasonable speed, but the photos have been "dumbed down" to the point where they look like they are taken by amateurs.
I look at a lot of other sites and photos taken...

I don't think MTB is "dead".... just splintered. We have DH, XC, marathons, freeride, dirt jump, 24 HR, 12HR, 8HR, Enduros, multiday events (BC Bike/Transrockies/Cape Epic) and more. Something for everyone.
Australia has the World Champs in 2010
In the past when a World Champs have been held in a particular country other countries have been allowed to race in an open Champs.
Nothing new. does not mean that an Ossie will not be national champ (a non australian cannot hold that position)

When Canada was the host to the 2003 World Champs, the nationals was an open event. An Austrailian was 1st (Nathan O'Neill), American 2nd (Will Frischkorn) and a Canadian 3rd (Perras)
