Race interference: Protests, Sabotage, and Assaults

Yet another stage (13) of the Vuelta a España disrupted by an illegal and potentially deadly road incursion from anti-social 'protesters.' These political agitators are exploiting cycling’s open, public-access format for their own selfish agenda. This is what happens when authorities and...

    Vuelta a España Vuelta a España 2025, Stage 10: Sendaviva – Larra-Belagua (175.3k)

Any update on the rider(s) who crashed when Palestinian-flag waving protesters ran in front of the peloton on today's stage, causing a pile-up (as documented in footage shared by Mihai Simion)? I saw at least one rider (Intermarché) on the tarmac who looked like he may have been grievously hurt.

Quinn Simmons is the new Quinn Simmons

I'm really enjoying watching him race, and I don't mind the pseudo-drama stirring in his interviews. Imagine how otherworldly your recovery has to be to work & attack stage after stage in the freakin' Tour de France! Tremendous national champion, doing the jersey proud.

Quinn Simmons is the new Quinn Simmons

Did you see this QS post-stage quote today (Sun. 7/20)? “This morning, we had a few differences of opinion on what was going to happen in the stage,” he added. “And unfortunately, I had to spend a bit of energy controlling in the start for something that probably was never going to happen. But...

Quinn Simmons is the new Quinn Simmons

I like this guy. Animated on the bike, charismatic off it. Hard worker who really earned his spot in the Tour.

Chris Horner is torching knuckleheads and murdering everyone's name

Tremendously talented. Massive engine. Phenomenal recovery. And that was in the mid-1990s. What a treat to race side by side with him over a few years in the U.S.!

    Giro d'Italia Giro D'Italia 2025 Stage 14: Treviso – Nova Gorica/Gorizia (195km)

I agree that Groves will win, but only after coming together with Kooj and taking him down, leaving the 'official' victory to go to Pedersen.

    Giro d'Italia Giro d'Italia 2025, stage 13: Rovigo – Vicenza, 180km

    Let's hear your predictions on a few Stage 13 Head to Heads (H2H): > Stage 13 H2H - Del Toro v Roglic > Stage 13 H2H - (Simon) Yates v Storer > Stage 13 H2H - Pidcock v Ulissi > Stage 13 H2H - Pedersen v van Aert

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

Would he be limited to the standard solo attack up/down Poggio, or do you think he could win with something more audacious like a move on Capo Berta?

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

Satisfying end to a great season for Remco. Pog' is otherworldly/ET-like.

Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

I'm by no means a stat nerd or even much of a basic records-checker (the now unrealized Remco Double-Double being an exception), but I wonder how long the typical GT-winner continues their career after last winning a GT, and how productive they remain in non-GT races. And then how long passes...

Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

Head to head next season at the Tour, barring injury/illness, I wonder who comes out on top in battle for 3rd: Pog' or Remco.

World Championships 2024: Men's Road Race (September 29)

I thought it was exciting. Good commentary helps a lot though. (And the coverage I watched via Tiz which featured Robbie McEwen was good.) And the fact that Pog attacked w/ 100km to go meant the compelling part of the coverage was twice as long as I'd've expected.
