    86th Tour de Suisse (2.UWT) // June 11th - 18th 2023

DS of TREK, Grégory Rast said that one of their riders was behind Mäder and saw the crash. Given the probable position of Mäder and the position of Simmonds in the finish he probably was that rider. Pellaud just attacked in Slovenia for this: View...

    86th Tour de Suisse (2.UWT) // June 11th - 18th 2023

That was an explicit wish from teams and riders to do it like this.

    86th Tour de Suisse (2.UWT) // June 11th - 18th 2023

Peleton still together, so I guess there is a general understanding to go together until those 25k and then those who like can race for the stage win and those who don't can sit back. Under that point of view it's not a bad decision. Tomorrow is the same thing, those who like can go full gas...

    86th Tour de Suisse (2.UWT) // June 11th - 18th 2023

I don't know. Probably someone started it and all the other used it without checking. View: https://twitter.com/sandramaeder/status/1669788172748742656

    86th Tour de Suisse (2.UWT) // June 11th - 18th 2023

Her name is actually Sandra Mäder. She was quite active on twitter following her son. The reason Gino started cycling and wanted to turn professional was that he wanted his parents greeting him on the side of the road together after they split when he was a teenager. Oh, and Gino has no...

Last 30k will be raced neutralized, Ginos family wished that. Further discussions during the day. Good bye, Gino.

Yeah, further information has been added now. He was reanimated for 25 minutes, never was conscious and was now (during the night or this morning) transferred to a specialised clinic in St.Gallen.

    86th Tour de Suisse (2.UWT) // June 11th - 18th 2023

Report on blick.ch says that Mäder is on intenisve care and stable. His father is there and the team says they're waiting for the doctors to coummunicate the extent of his injuries. TdS talked with the family about cancelling the stage but decided against. This descend was often used in the Tds...

    86th Tour de Suisse (2.UWT) // June 11th - 18th 2023

Start very probably in Chur. TdS-Boss Senn said that Mäder and Sheffield probably crashed together which is unlikely to me. Police was there to check the scene which means a) such stuff will be evaluated and b) it's pretty serious.

Worlds in 2020 (Switzerland) and 2021 (Belgium (Flanders))

Re: Re: In Zürich you could make a pretty flat or a pretty selective course, the climbs wouldn't be as long as in Innsbruck but quite steep. Maybe something like the old Züri Metzgete. Bern is less hilly if you want to make a course inside the city. We'll see where we end. With Hirschi, Mäder...

    Transfers and Rumours 2018 > 2019

Re: Re: Mäder said yesterday on media day of the Swiss team that he signed with a WT-team but he cannot reveal the name yet. My guess would be DimensionData (because of BMC) or a french team. But DD is a good guess.

The Gianni Moscon Bandwagon Jumping Thread

In 2014 a amateur-cyclist died in Switzerland during a race around the 1.HC race of Gippingen (GP Kanton Aargau). His fall was caused by another cyclist (not intentionally) who was said to race totally carelessly. Last fall he was sentenced to one year in prison (on probation) and a fine of 2000...

    U23 races and talents

It's said in Switzerland that Hirschi will sign (or already has) with the Sunweb Devo team. Nothing on Schäppi or Spengler yet.

As an IT-guy myself I can tell you that it is unlikely, indeed, but not impossible. I'll send a post from home this evening on the topic which is the reason I joined. This should be another IP then. ;)
