Re: 'leadership' which leads nowhere .... Küng can win any flat time trial (on a good day even against Tom Dumoulin) and (currently) maybe a classic with lots of luck, but that is about it ... he'd be far better of in a strong team, which builds on his abilities and gives him at times a carte...

not sure it has been mentioned already, but Stefan Küng seems to be heading to Groupama/FDJ .... I am not quite convinced that is the best option for him though, in my view he'd be better off in a team with potential classics winners (e.g. Bora) and/or some outfit needing a strong man in TTTs...

Re: pre Tour, Team Sky was certainly the most named favorite, but definitely rather Froome than Thomas ... there were many other names (Porte, Nibali, Dumoulin, Quintana and some others) put up as well after week one the race was pretty open ... Porte gone, ok, but apart that, the GC ranks...
