    New SRAM

Man... that is light! How did they get another half a pound from the already lowest weight gruppo? Hints of 250 fewer grams from an already sub-2000gm group is amazing! And the fix for the front derr will be nice. I predict a cable-operated hydraulic road discs. Easier to install.

The blurred lines of Livestrong - the spin bike sham

Actually pretty funny Just the right tone. A lot of seriousness in this thread...FF just knocked it back a notch. Much as I agree that LA has a come-uppance due, We ALL will suffer the blowback, not just the Cancer victims.

RR merger new name Rock Racing-Murcia ... UCI code RRM

Daotec Nice reporting. Thanks for all the Spanish cycling mag translations. One of these days, Ball will hire grown-ups to handle the UCI/Team management decisions. And only then will RR will be a formidable force. The Spaniards have shown their prowess exceeds the team's ranking and they are...

Landis section of "Bigger, Stronger, Faster"

What island off the coast of Spain did Lance and the boys train on? It had great riding around the coast, and they would spend the nights, sleeping above 5000 feet altitude? All the benefits of a tent w/o any of the hassles. Galic Ho is correct. Train low, try to recover at high elevation (=...

    Good bike shops in NYC

Tough scene in NYC You would think that there would be many great shops in NY. Yet the financial pressure doing business in NYC, w/ high overhead, makes them consistently grumpy and stressed out. Cadence was a highend shop catering to Wall St bonus spenders, and amazingly they went tits up...

    Wheelset recommendations?

Why.....that's easy ! Mavic ! Cosmic Carbone Ultimates or Carbone SLR Actually the answer is impossible to give without knowing more about you and you riding needs. First of all, what's your build? Light, heavy, tall, short? Second, what type of riding or racing? Tris, TTs, Hill climbing...

Will this bike work? Campagnolo build? Advice sought.

Cassette could be a problem AmClassic made a Campy-compatible cassetter that for Shimano bodies. If it isn't one of those... A JTek adapter works well, $40. And posters advice about the "CT" front derr for the FSA crankset are right. That chain is one of the narrowest, so if it floats on the...

New Astana boss named, hates Armstrong

Kazakh kredibility gap because the license holders ethics must be impeccable. And the Astana situation is already precarious due to this springs' payroll crisis. Add to that; Vino's management coup d'etat, dirty history, lack of repentance, fallout with Kasheckhin, etc and I don't...

    No longer a wiggo fan

You might be right DimSpace Apologies for not picking up on the wry British style. Sort of like French insouciance, easy to miss. Let's hope it's all a tempest in a teapot. Wiggo does seem to be a genuine and amiable guy.

    Dekker's Positive

Why now? Much as I hate to see BigBoat's paranoia come to life, I too wonder why this has come to light only now. Has S-L sat on this news? Did they feel the pressure from the promise of the French organizers to test four times more often? On the other hand, I can't fault S-L for not...

daft UCI attitude to disk brakes on road bikes?

Why no road discs? Racing wheel changes become slower. Flats would become more of a battle to change.

I despise the new website- Im going to l'equipe

Herr Kruger is it? The complaints are valid. Your comments ignore them. So what if the old was a problem for you? If so, fix that, but don't alter the easy, user-friendly interface. Where are the photos for example? Race results and the accompanying story are separated. News is hard to cull...

    New Ultegra WTF

Outer ring prices That New DuraAce outer ring is really cool. Made of two sheets of aluminum, it is laterally very stiff, which made the front shifting really crisp. BUT it costs $450 to replace. NewUlt will be less but what the hell? Interchangeable with anyone's 130BCD ring otherwise.
