Listing news headlines twice ont he home page is repetitive. I prefer the "news edition" type of listing, like it was on the old site (with multiple headlines lumped together). Repeating the headlines twice (once alone, then again as part of the news edition) is distracting and confusing...

and unnecessary--it only shows a small part of it on the left and right sides. I would remove the background image (and make the background a simple gray color) as part of a decluttering.
