    General Doping Thread.

Was watching a bit of the football/soccer tonight, posed this question to a group of friends. No takers. Why not? "Question lads: When players constantly, blatantly dive in front of millions, then deny it (alongside managers and coaches) post match when replays clearly show they cheated...

Leaders for the GTs of 2017

I can't remember where or when, but I think I read Valverde is returning to a more "traditional" calendar next year, so probably ardennes in spring, Tdf as superdom, then a joint leadership at Vuelta? Anyone else see something like that anywhere?

Should the grupetto have been DQ'd on Stage 15?

Another idea for a fitting punishment! Seeing as most of the peloton seemed more interested in a bit of cyclotourism than racing, why not, for the following stages, make them race with a couple of panniers on the bike. And for every minute over the time limit, 1 kilo of weight is added to the...

Should the grupetto have been DQ'd on Stage 15?

Re: Re: Haha, that's what I was thinking aswell! I'm sure what he really wanted was 93 out with the opportunity to personally strangle about half a dozen

Should the grupetto have been DQ'd on Stage 15?

Re: I'm living only an hour to the east of Sabiñanigo. Couldn't get to the stage live because of work (don't get me started ), but the temperatures have been abnormally high for September for the last week, mid 30's everyday (don't know fahrenheit, apologies!). It's not been pleasant...

Should the grupetto have been DQ'd on Stage 15?

Re: Re: Yeah that's true, to single out one team would be unfair. But still, would you blame them for telling Direct Energie to *** off if they wanted a wildcard next year? But essentially the organizers hands are tied, try to punish teams and they'll withdraw or not send a decent team...

Should the grupetto have been DQ'd on Stage 15?

Doesn't la Vuelta come under ASOs umbrella of events? I suppose with the worldtour most teams know they're automatically invited to events, so it's difficult for the organizers to lean on the teams in these circumstances and say "heh, try that again and see how many of our events you can enter...

Re: Re: Haven't a clue. I was literally 5 minutes on Google, that was about the sum of my research! And I'm not trying to build a strawman, simply showing that a quick look on any search engine and already a link between Efimovas trainer and the American team pops up. So I'm kinda wondering...
