Clean teams in the current peloton.

Plus Riis set up Hamilton with Fuentes (and allegedly took Frank Schleck to meet him in Madrid), and his team staff facilitated doping: I doubt there have ever been speed bags at Garmin.

Who are the 'Riders' in the documents?

Zabriskie was at other races in Belgium. Two good possibilities are Fleche Wallonne in 2002, and Tour of Belgium in 2003. Pena was not on either start list. Landis, who Zabriskie says is the one who told him Riders 5 and 8 came to see the team doctor, was also on the start list for both races.

Who are the 'Riders' in the documents?

"Motoman" is Philippe Maire. From Hamilton's book: To the person wondering why Rider 8 has to be Victor Hugo Pena, by my reckoning: Rider 8 was on the 2003 Tour team (Landis). He was not on the 2004 Tour team (also Landis, who lists himself, Armstrong, Hincapie, and Riders 2, 5, 6, 10...

    Thomas Dekker comeback thread

Any clue why P-N instead of Tirreno? I was under the impression that Dekker wanted to go to Tirreno, but had to prove himself first. But Paris-Nice is just as hard a race, so I'm not sure what the thinking is.

    Thomas Dekker to Garmin

Yes, they do: Jack Bobridge and Travis Meyer. Both contracts began January 1, 2010. According to the UCI (see Joint Agreements, Article 7 for full text): That means they're neo for the whole two seasons of their neo-pro contract. If you check the Teams section of the UCI website, both Bobridge...

Exciting news--hope it happens and he comes back strong.

    Garmin-Cervelo TdF

Haussler said shortly after the merge that he didn't expect to be doing the Tour in 2011, but would probably do the Giro and Vuelta. Since then Vaughters has mentioned the possibility of taking HH to the Tour, so I doubt it's set in stone--but I thought it was worth mentioning.

    RFEC Frees Clentador

Nope. Article 248 of the UCI anti-doping rules:

    Status of Old Dopers

I'd say he was caught--just not prosecuted:

2 new doping positives names tbc

The Costa brothers say their positives were the result of a supplement. It is possible--check out this article about the methylhexanamine positives at the Commonwealth Games: also:

Astana rider details Contador's doping practices

This seems like a jump in logic to me. What if Contador's body adjusts quicker to a whole-blood transfer? What if he started doping with refrigerated blood, and saw no need to switch to the freezer method later? What about the logistics of traveling with a portable freezer, when it's so much...

    Italian rider Colo clenbuterol sentence...?!

Doesn't work that way. The second violation has to occur after the rider has been notified of the first violation. Otherwise, at most multiple violations considered together can be considered aggravating circumstances and result in bans up to 4 years--but I don't see that happening here. The...

    What's gonna happen then?

Yes, now keep reading for what happens when the competition is a stage race. I'd love it if the UCI agreed with you--I just don't think that's what the rules say.

    What's gonna happen then?

Ah, I missed that clen wasn't a 'specified substance'--thanks for that clarification. But I disagree with your interpretation of 291 being wholly subordinate to 289. 291 says that if a rider didn't mean to dope, only his results that are affected by the inadvertent doping are disqualified...
