Did you not watch the video that you posted?
Rooijakkers tries to get in the sprint train and Cavendish nudges him in the back to get over. This is pretty common in the peloton, even in a Cat 2 or 3 field. If a rider is getting too close, you push him over. Pretty common...
I don't think the peloton cares at all. Really, who in the front group is a legitimate GC contender? Kirchen, Rogers, Armstrong, Cancellara...no on all of them.
All of the real GC contenders were in the 2nd group, so no one gained or lost any time today.
What a horrible bike/wheel change from Saxo Bank.
If Menchov would have had those mechanics working for him in the Giro, he wouldn't have won the pink.
Cancellara will never win the Tour.
Andy is in the box seat to maybe repeat as White Jersey winner. That's it...not the yellow. He's going to lose a boatload of time in the next ITT.
Heck, he might not even win the White Jersey, appears he has some good competition in Kreuziger, Nibali...
From my friend that works at Trek...
Look for the new 6-series to be announced the day before the TdF starts. Astana will be riding them in the Tour.
Monster downtube, ovalized seattube and steerer tube, all internal cable routing..etc, etc.
My guess: 2010 Madone frames. Trek introduced the current Madone during the Tour (if my recollection is correct), so I would guess we will see these 2010 bikes in a few weeks time under the Astana riders as well.
:D
Yeah, it certainly seems as if he is running scared. ;)
Although he raises a good point. If he were involved, he should be a defendant in this case.
Even if Trek was aware of him giving away bikes, it still doesn't say much for Greg's business sense to do that to the dealer base.
Unless Greg was offering free tune-ups for the life of the bikes, and then making mad profits on the aftermarket accessories that went along with them. :D
