The 50km always seems to throw up some random results - I reckon we'll see someone unexpected in the podium. My main hope is for a few skiers to go hard early and cause chaos, then you never know what might happen

Uno-X get 175 points at Giro del Veneto , although Cofidis also get 70 points themselves. Gap is now over 400 points again though - Cofidis will need a bit of a miracle to get there now.

If stage 8 really is an ITT it basically has to be 50km+ long to get between Bergerac and Perigeaux. It would be an extremely pleasant surprise to get a TTT, a 50km ITT, and presumably a shortish 30km TT on stage 16 all in one race. Given the direction of race design in the last decade or so...
