    Maxim Iglinsky positive for EPO

What rings even more alarm bells for me is Nibali's lacklustre spring after which Vino wrote to him regarding his poor performance. After under-performing in the Dauphine he then went on to win the Tour decisively, albeit without Froome and Contador to rock the boat.

    Ricco's Mountain ascents

"putroppo il vento mi ha impedito di fare il record ma fino allo chalit rejnard il tempo era da record 44 minuti" "Unfortunately the wind prevented me from making the record but until Chalet Reynard the time was a record-breaking 44 minutes"

Team Ineos (Formerly the Sky thread)

28% improvement in hct, not necessarily in performance.

    Ryders crash -motor?

    Great post.

Teams & Riders Froome Talk Only

Have to say I think Froome is most likely using chemical assistance... But 6.4 W/Kg is perfectly within the limits of human physiology for 18 mins.

    Eurosport commentary

Bring back David Harmon, I know the guy has had personal issues and may have have had a few clashes with Eurosport in the past but he was everything a cycling commentator should be. I have switched off both the Eurosport Tour de France and Vuelta coverage and waited for the ITV4 highlights...

    Ryders crash -motor?

Nothing suspicious about the Hesjedal crash except for the lack of intelligence and knowledge of some on this forum. Another clip illustrating the principle of conservation of angular momentum in the rear wheel, this time during a TTT crash. The bike also suddenly flips direction at the end...

    Ryders crash -motor?

Slightly taken aback that you describe yourself as a physicist given that analysis. There is no mention of the initial forward momentum in your analysis or the resultant conservation of momentum or analysis of the system as a series of connected bodies pivoting about a point. As I said, I...

    Ryders crash -motor?

I came to this thread thinking it was a bit of fun, instead I am faced with an embarrassing lack of simple physics knowledge. - Ryder falls at perhaps 50km/hr - The mechanism of the fall is poor friction with the road surface and loss of front wheel. Immediately on the bike contacting the...

Is there any act more tired in this peloton? that of Jens Voigt?

See it for what it is and don't take it too seriously. It is undoubtedly a marketing led event for Trek for whom I am sure he will continue to do work. He also gets to put down a time before the real contenders like Wiggins, Martin and Cancellara crush him.

Teams & Riders Froome Talk Only

For Froome, I am guessing it is adrenal fatigue. I also agree that his GT peak is past and he will never win a GT again. For Evans, I have always had my suspicions. Particularly due him riding on a team led by Rihs and Ochowicz.

Impey cleared of doping - free to race

What an absolute bull**** story, it is up their with Simoni's cocaine sweeties, maybe even better. It also sets a precedent as a means to an excuse for any doping positive. Just make sure you went to a pharmacy to buy something else the day before and have the pharmacist concoct a story that he...

Jonathan Tiernan-Locke written to by UCI, asked to explain blood values

JTL was doping without the expertise to back him up and manage his dosages within the limits of the ABP. This was the result.
