    Doping in XC skiing

Well Kalla certainly had today, she seemed to have 2-3 minutes faster skies than the people around her.

The best choice would have been Finn Hågen Krogh. He has good speed and positioning skills ( he won the sprint in TDS), and is also among Norways top distance skaters. He should also have been selected to the skiathlon, Rønning being picked over him is a disgrace.

She was fast for sure, but Kaisa and Tora got stuck in traffic on several of their loops. There is also the added effect of racing for the win, compared to racing for a top ten. I would never bet against Bjørgen, if she is any where near her peak.

I'm not sure the skis were the main issue, Berger seemed very tired last weekend as well. I'm guessing she will be back at competive speed after the christmas break.

    Doping in XC skiing

This kind of reverse logic is everything that is wrong with this forum. Armstrong doped, and he claimed he was innocent. Thus everyone who ever claimes they are innocent and gives similar explanations must be doped.

    2012 Giro d'Italia, May 6th, stage 2: Herning → Herning, 206K

A little consistency for these kinds of offences would be nice. I don't mind riders getting a little help after crashes and mechanicals, but I don't like how random the punishment, or lack thereof, seems to be..

Teams & Riders Mark Cavendish Discussion Thread

I didn't see the race, so I'm wondering if the riders ment to support Cav could be tired after having to do a lot of work before that descent, or was it all bad tactics or poor shape? Anyway, Cav should take more responsibility when he fails.

Teams & Riders Mark Cavendish Discussion Thread

I didn't love Cav initially, as I find his style of racing quite boring, but found his extreme sprinting abilities fascinating. My "hatred" towards Cavendish stems from the comments he made about his teammate Greipel in 2010. I kind of like uber confident racers, but telling the press that...

Berger skied with Domracheva, who were one loop ahead, that explaines some of Bergers great skiing time. Berger would have won anyway though, so the gold was totally deserved. A shame that Susan Dunklee didn't get a medal, but a great performance by her.

The russian selection never make any sense, but this one was especially strange. Not starting the winner of the last individual competition in the world cup is just stupid.

    Doping in XC skiing

Even though I cant stand Kowalczyk I have to defend her in this race, she was really unfortunate and actually fell twice, which probably destroyed her race... She is not really that good of a technical skier, and when tired she often falls. Trying to stay with Johaug was her downfall, and she...

    Rasmussen also pulls a Rasmussen.

Why the national federation and not some sort of an independent comitee are the ones who decides if an athlete get a suspension and for how long have always baffled me. It makes it near impossible to have a fair system where the same offences are punished in the same way.
