    Tour de Suisse 2025 - Men's (June 15- June 22)

It's UAE. When Pogacar is there, everyone knows what their job is and they have no problem executing it. When Pogacar is not there, they are always in a state of apparent internal disarray and they won't commit to working for a leader until it becomes crazy not to. And sometimes not even then...

    Tour de Suisse 2025 - Men's (June 15- June 22)

Looking forward to this race. João Almeida is the favourite here but lets see how he fares against this opposition. Looking at the startlist for UAE, he's got to be the undisputed team leader. Lets see how the team works for him, or if it's going the be the usual UAE team *** everytime Pogacar...

    Critérium du Dauphiné 2025, June 8 - 15

Good climb by Pogacar. He seemed very in control and holding back. Good effort for Vingegaard, but still not at his TDF level. His TDF 24's numbers were on par with today's Pogacar numbers, which means Vingegaard will probably improve... but so will Pogacar. Remco is still very far from his...

Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

Paul Seixas is looking pretty strong once again. Who will win big first: Paul Seixas or Lenny Martinez?

    Critérium du Dauphiné 2025, June 8 - 15

Looking at the last climb of tomorrow's stage: 1,21km at 9,6% average, 12km from the finish line. I think we might be in for a treat. :) That's not what's shocking. You see, money talks. That's fine. It's the same as UAE bosses demanding Pogacar to ride the UAE Tour. What's really shocking is...

    Critérium du Dauphiné 2025, June 8 - 15

I can't really agree with that. Jonas has been out for a long time and today was something out of character from him, maybe even unplanned (he said so). In the end he had a good leg stretch and got a good sprint performance. Maybe he even realized he might have another tool in his toolbox. So...

    Critérium du Dauphiné 2025, June 8 - 15

What a fantastic finish. Love it. Anyone of those 5 guys could win it and it would have been very enjoyable all the same. It's really incredible to watch the top3 GC guys + MVDP fighting it out in a week stage race. Looking forward to more fireworks in the upcoming days!

Vingegaard vs Pogačar - The Duel

Are we sure Vingegaard wasn't putting up better numbers in 2024 Tour than previous years? To me it seemed like Vingegaard was super strong, but Pogacar 2024 had a massive jump in performance compared to 2023, and that was the deciding factor.

    João Almeida - Bota Lume

It seems like Pidcock is out of the Tour de Suisse. Skjelmose is in. Really good addition to the startlist. He'll ride to win. João Almeida has his work cut out for him.

Tour de France 2025 route rumours and announcements

Yes, especially during the weekend... unless there are echelons or pavel, in which case the stage could be very interesting.

    João Almeida - Bota Lume

I agree with your assessment. If a team leader needs a domestique to set an hard pace in a long climb so that nobody can attack you, Almeida (or Landa) is the guy. I'm thinking of a situation where the GC group is down to 3-10 guys at most. If a team leader needs a domestique to set an...

    Isaac Del Toro thread

Why not? He absolutely should have risked everything trying to get 1st, even if there was a decent chance of dropping from 2nd to 3rd. To quote a great philosopher: «We have to accept race tactics and race situations, but sometimes you also need the balls to race.»

    João Almeida - Bota Lume

Vlasov Ben O'Connor Tao Geoghegan Pidcock Geraint Thomas Ben Healy Jay Vine Felix Gall It's not a bad field for a 1 week race. Not super strong either.

    João Almeida - Bota Lume

Winning a GT is incredibly hard. Not many can do it. You got to be in top form, you have to be lucky not to fall (too much or too hard), you must have a decent/good team, you must be lucky and you must no get sick. Maybe you even need to have the top favourites all drop out so you can win. My...

    Isaac Del Toro thread

This section of the climb was infuriating to watch. Carapaz actually managed to bridge to Simon Yates (they were only like 5m apart) and then both Carapaz and Del Toro went back to their stupid game. Even if your game plan is to glue yourself to Carapaz's wheel, surely at that point, with Simon...
