What was the point of Visma going so hard to then slow it back down in the descent?
No point and sadder still is that the pressure and wasted effort on the front didn't cause anything to break up.. The breakaway is beating each other up for KOM points and are a non factor for GC ..And now understudy riders are trying to pressure Vingegaard and he looks to be able to react to whatever they have.. Sudden selection and no other Visma yellow.. It just hurts the Jonas stage chance because Vingegaard has to counter everything himself

Anthony McCrossan made said that a pulling rider will flick both elbows when he's about to get out of the saddle so the rider on his wheel doesn't touch wheels. I've been watching racing for many years, and I'd never heard that before. Fun to learn something new.
You don't see it quite as much now because riders spend so much more time climbing in the saddle

Remco pulling for Lipo.
This is very smart from Remco, because this is a very good reason for why he won't be able to keep up with Lipo and Vingegaard in the last climb.

Vingegaard sitting in the wheel of Evenepoel because he knows Evenepoel is a reliable rider.
Not really.
Vingegaard went to the top of the peloton in the climb, right at the end of it, so that he could descend in a good spot.

It's not about Remco, at all. It's really just about Vingegaard's racing intelligence.

Kuss was very good in both Tour and Vuelta last year, they should just send him to 3 GTs and no other races every season because with a couple of exceptions he's always been average outside of them.*

*bring back the tour of utah

Unless Remco is about to park completely, but yeah, this is nonsense
Remco is a minute and a half back, but if he can reel everything in it gives Lipowitz an opportunity for a late surge. Lipo move is to do nothing and stick to Visma leader..accept the leftovers. Look at this thing thinning out just from the tight turns and short interval to get back on top of the gear, guys are getting toasted going downhill

It was a joke. Relying on Evenepoel is risky!
