Critérium du Dauphiné 2014: Stage 8, Megève - Courchevel Le Praz (131.5 km)

It's possible the injury from the crash was 100% responsible for the poor showing, but I'm not sure why he would risk further injury for a training race.

Critérium du Dauphiné 2014: Stage 8, Megève - Courchevel Le Praz (131.5 km)

If Froome was seriously injured, he would not have started the stage. He is somewhat immature, and relatively inexperienced compared to the likes of Contador. It appears as though he didn't have the will to fight when things didn't go according to plan.

Teams & Riders Froome Talk Only

Yes, I was thinking something similar. It's not in the blood in the typical way that a PED will show up. I once spoke with a doctor who was on the cutting edge of developing ways in which you can legally enhance athletic performances. It wasn't blood related, and it was back in the late 90s. I...

Criterium du Dauphine 2014: Stage 2, Tarare - Col du Beal

I just got the chance to watch today's stage. I've been following Contador for years, and I would have to say that he looks pretty good. Froome buried himself a few times, but Alberto looked somewhat relaxed and focused. It was clear that all he planned to do was follow and watch. He never...

    The Climb (Froome's first autobiography)

This is priceless, pure comedy. Karma will be a *****, can't wait to read "The Fall".

2013 Critérium du Dauphiné Stage 5: Grésy-sur-Aix Valmorel (139 km)

Contador is showing signs of life, his team is strong, and I still think that he will win the Tour. A lot will hinge on the next few weeks. The Dauphine has never really been a test for the Tour, in my opinion. It was hard to see him do so poorly in the ITT, but that makes me think that he's in...

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

The difference between the Astana 09 debacle and what might happen with Sky this year is that Alberto Contador was the team leader until Armstrong decided to come out of retirement. From what I understand, Alberto even tried to get out of his contract but was assured that he didn't have anything...

Armstrong Misleads & Swindles Livestrong Donors

Interesting article, but not surprising. If I had to put my finger on why I dislike Ironman, and the WTC, it would be because they have a somewhat similar attitude towards the people who support them. They make fun of them, act above it all, yet convince them that their circus is all about love...

    Nike drops Armstrong

I think that they are just trying to cover their behinds. They are into Livestrong.com up to their eyeballs. Shamelessly making a fortune off of cancer. That company has no soul.

    Slowtwitch and the reasoned decision?

I know all of them personally. They are glory hounds and shammy sniffers. Dan Empfield is a complete tool. Sad that my user name seems to be associated with them, as Peaceful Tribe was a phrase that I used long before Slowtwitch used it. The whole Ironman scene is a circus!

2012 World Championships, Men Individual Time Trial: 45.7Km

I don't have any opinions about Tony Martin, except that he obviously had a great TT today. I'm not sure I agree that he humiliated AC. Contador is one of the few riders who always fights. He never gives up, and rarely complains.

Official lance armstrong thread, part 2 (from september 2012)

If I remember correctly, they were pre school or kindergarten aged. I had the same reaction as you did when I studied it. Very messed up. They even said that some of the kids got worse. The kids were exceptionally clever and ended up manipulating their parents and teachers. It was scary.

Official lance armstrong thread, part 2 (from september 2012)

This is an interesting turn of the conversation, nature vs. nurture. I coach now, and was recently involved in a discussion with other coaches about coaching sociopaths and psychopaths. From my studies, and research, the aforementioned are born that way. It is scientifically proven, at least as...

Official lance armstrong thread, part 2 (from september 2012)

Not sure if this question belongs in this thread, or the Alberto Contador thread. Anyway, how many of you think that Lance had something to do with Contador's 2010 positive? I know that there was a discussion about this a while back, but now that I have read Tyler's book, I really think that...
