    European Championship 2025: Men’s RR, October 5

He never had to chase Pogacar in a 7% climb. He had his team to chase for him during 38 km. He had help from Healy, Hindley, Skejlmose and Pidders (a small mention to the motos, behind Pogacar and in front of group 2). The gap between them was bigger than we think IMO. The only thing I fear for...

They were cooked because they didn't go in a steady pace. They were either sprinting or recovering.

He will not but this time Remco will not go as hard because he needs legs to catch Pogacar later.

The gap exploded later because Pogacar was cruising on Sormano. I'm sure of that. If Pogacar wanted to go all out, he would 1'45" on Remco just on Sormano. Or how can you explain Pogacar gained 1'35" - 1'45" on Remco in the valley (Remco's terrain)?.

They were racing against each other and Yates got a green light. If they both raced in a strady pace until the top of Finestre, Yates wouldn't gain any time.

The climb has a very hard initial section, enough to Pogacar. Then it's a TT until the top. Do you really think Pogacar can't win 9"/km against everyone? Specially on 6% gradients where it's the perfect gradient to create massive gaps.

Ayuso never did something remotely close to what Del Toro did in the Giro. He was the best rider in the Giro and lost due to a tactical mistake. I don't believe for a second he (or Carapaz) was weaker than Yates in Finestre.

Pogacar can gain 1' easily on Remco just in Saint Romain de Lerps. Another 6-8" on each time they pass the small climb. Is Remco gonna take 1'30" on Pogacar in 45 km of flat roads? No, he won't.

Vingegaard will start his decline soon. Del Toro is improving massively. 2 years and the table can turn.

This is absurd. This is like saying Pidock should work as much as Pogacar in SB to be considered a "winner". In this case, having a winner mentality is clearly not work with a much better rider in order to get a chance of winning. Edit: So like @Netserk said, that is a difference between...

But Kigali didn't have a long climb like they will have tomorrow, and 3 times.

100% this. One guy, I really think, has a winning mentality (all or nothing) is Carapaz. He doesn't care if he explodes, he will always try to win.

Pogacar is at 1.36 for tomorrow's race. 10 years ago, these odds were unimaginable.
