Believe me when I say I rate that achievement by WVA higher than any numbers of wins by any sprinter. Outside of GC guys, I consider that to be the biggest achievement of the 21st century Tour history, and I ain't a WVA fan.

For the record, I don't like any one dimensional sprinter for the reasons that are implicit in the stats. They do far less yet get far more opportunities than any other type of rider in cycling. I look at the effort and work that Ben Healy did yesterday to win a single stage, yet a sprinter...

If winning stages is heavily skewered in favour of sprinters, they why compare them to the likes of Merckx or Pogacar? give them a sub-category or put an asterisk beside them or something. Sprinters are not worthy of having things skewered in their favour.

Let me ask a question here. In the 21st century, how many times has a sprinter won 4 or more stages in a single Tour? Now, how many times has a TTer, climber, breakaway or uphill finisher won 4 stages in a single Tour? Drop the number to 3 or more stage wins in a single Tour a day ask the same...

Well done Ben Healy, fantastic ride. Like many, I love his attacking style and love to see it rewarded. This first week has been pretty decent, better than all those Tours with innumerable pointless sprint stages, that's for sure.

Apologies if this stat has been highlighted somewhere already, but if Pogacar podiums on Sunday, he would be thd first rider since Sean Kelly in 1984 to podium all 4 Spring Monuments in a season. Cannot think of anyone in the intervening years who ever managed it.
