Well.. That difference is pretty much the differnce between doped for sure and quite likely not doped. It would help if he would test his VO2 max.. If it`s 85, he most probably is doped with his w/kg numbers.. If it`s 90, it`s probably plausible. The world record for VO2 max is 97,5 or...
