    Would you?

No. but.. So I voted No but then read this from Python: "Would I dope as a teen had I found myself in the elite (national or professional) team ? the answer: if the peers nudged me - no, but if the coaches did - I probably would. no, b/c from get-go i was a fiercely independent, searching...

    Bodyfat and Performance

lol. Yes I am familiar with that quote. I think the context, however, has everything to do with "Edgar". i.e. the only reason he _could_ focus solely on weight is because the "Edgar" allowed him to do so (by lowering the sustainable threshold beyond what was normally achievable). But...

    Bodyfat and Performance

Good point with the TT test. Sadly I am still stuck indoors and don't have a baseline established on my trainer (from previous years).

    Bodyfat and Performance

Thanks for your insight. The more I think about it, the more I think I am not at a sustainable weight. I have already started to let it rise and I'll cap it at 155 - same as previous years. I don't think my diet needs any modification. For a number of years I've been following a...

    Bodyfat and Performance

Thanks to all who've responded. Apart from perhaps DurianRider I'm not sure my question was understood so let me try and clarify: I am looking for opinions as to whether my new low body fat can be maintained through the season without sacrificing power (performance). If the answer is...

What % body fat can be maintained without drugs?

yeah probably body image. Apart from the stomach "flab" that apparently only I can see (my wife doesn't either) my upper body is pretty "ripped" -- and certainly not because I have any upper body strength :)

Got it. I misunderstood what you were saying. Thanks for taking the time to make it clear...

    Bodyfat and Performance

So there's a thread over in the doping forum that is kind of veering into this question but seems more appropriate to discuss here. Are there any decent studies that show a tradeoff between maintaining a low body fat and cycling performance? Anyone have personal experiences they'd like to...

What % body fat can be maintained without drugs?

Ironically I was just about to post a question about bodyfat in the nutrition section when I saw this thread. So FWIW, I had the hydrostatic test a month ago and came in at 7%. I was told the machine had a margin of error of +/- 1%. I guess per Gallic Ho and some others I'm impossible :)...

WADA should appeal the Lance Armstrong title strip on SOL

But isn't that the true issue here? Both you and mountainman seem to be arguing that the crime committed by the guys who narc'd equals the crime committed by Armstrong. From that standpoint at least some of what you've written makes sense. My reading of the reasoned decision, however, is...

    Big Thanks to Race Radio

Adding my thanks as well. Someone said RR posted on RBR - love to know his handle. I started reading up on doping on RBR in late 2004 after the Hamilton positive. At some point, not sure when, that forum became toxic and I switched over to the Clinic - maybe 2009? I remember after the Fed...
