    Inhaler use

I check the forums everyday but rarely post and never (well, maybe once years ago?) in the clinic but.... While watching the TdF today on nbcsn it struck me that use of inhalers while racing is now overt and acceptable. Check the pictures at 53.8 k to go...there’s a Team Dimension Data rider...

    My Chorus is mixed up

I have '04, '06, '08 Chorus gruppos which, over the years, have had various parts switched from bike to bike. I'd like to get the gruppos united again. How can I differentiate each years parts from another? I think the aero brakes were from the '04 gruppo (??), but what other drive train...

Shoe recommendations for high arch and insteps

I second Master50's recommendation for the Bont shoes. The Bonts are user moldable too.

    Computrainer Alternatives

I'm also a long time CT user. I purchased the TOPO 5 Racermate edition along with the CT. Using this with the course creator program, I've been able to create the courses I've raced on. It's NOT perfect as adding "via" points along the course sometimes "confuses" the CT causing what I call...

New method for rear wheel attachment?

Cinelli did this back in the late 1960's If I remember correctly. Look up the Cinelli "Bivalent" hubs. I believe the hubs were made by Campagnolo and used Regina freewheels.

    2014 US Pro Challenge, Aug 18th-Aug 24th (2.HC)

TJV had an earpiece stuck in his ear... I thought radios were not allowed in this race..... was this an unfair advantage? How about a 60 sec time penality?

    Fork

A custom frame builder is in order to build a steel or aluminum fork for you. They would have to make a custom fork crown to eliminate rake.

    Interesting Article on USA Cycling

A couple of years ago a user named "Dimspace" posted a graphic flow chart showing all the ties to the "players" involved with USA Cycling. It is very detailed and seems complete. Take a look and see how all the names mentioned in this thread are connected. You'll find it here...

    Wall rack question

I'm pretty sure you can find a wooden gravity stand... get one of those, file or cut grooves where needed, line with felt... Or, make your own stand... copy design, use 2X4 studs, use screws to construct. Use felt to line "feet" and bike supports. Stain or paint. Probably just need a saw...

    Riding volcanoes in Hawaii

Went to Maui a couple of years ago for my daughters wedding. While there I wanted to ride from the ocean to the crater of Haleakala. Rented a bike there on the island... C'Dale. Cheaper than shipping my bike over and back. So I dipped my bikes wheels in the ocean at Piai (spelling?) and started...

    New crankset

You might be able to repair the crank arm by drilling out the hole and installing a HELICOIL. I don't know for sure if there is a lefthand threaded helicoil, but you can do a search and find out...

    America's Cup

Have to agree with Merckx about the penalities. Team Oracle has completely turned around concerning the tactical issues since they changed their foreguard. Now it's Team New Zealand making the mistakes... I thought this regatta was over with days ago, but Oracle has proved to be a competitor...
