On Belgian tv…. Each time Girmay is in full view he gets mentioned. Its getting ridiculous, even yesterday. He was still there on the Poggio and got mentioned like he had a serious chance. Even a few podcasts at the start of the season always seem to find a need to mention him.

De Lie is imho too soon yet to see where the journey goes. But for my Girmay. Never lived up after his ‘famous’ win. Now seems to get mentioned each time he rides in a top 10 position in a race.

Thats the thing. You write a fairly reasonable post in my opinion. However Remco has been criticised in the press because this year he is actually fairly modest in his predictions. For instance the tour he says stage wins maybe podium, same for PN if last week. He was humble and didnt predict...

I totally agree, eventhough my flag is the Belgian(Flemish one), its sports at the highest level. Vlasov had every right to go, even if it put pressure on his teammate. He did, more importantly, put pressure on other teams. So its a non-discussion.
