    Campag/Shimano 11 wheel compatibility

Do you have a link to that article? Do you mean I can put my Campag 11 speed wheels in my bike fitted with Ultegra 6800?

    Campagnolo - Any point?

I have always preferred Campag and more recently the ergo thumb lever I prefer to the double lever of Shinano. Recently had my bikes stolen and had to replace with an off the peg bike, most of which it is almost impossible to get campag fitted, or so it seems. I have to say that the Ultegra...

Lemond's Legacy: How Lemond Changed Cycling

Well I think Big Mig could climb a bit and he was almost 80kgs at race weight

    Fat burn, muscle gain?

Yes modern bikes are a pleasure to ride, in 2011 after a 17 year lay off I started training on an old steel bike. This I soon changed for a new carbon model and the difference was quite spectacular in feel. Just be sure you are happy with the position before buying a bike though, better to...

    Fat burn, muscle gain?

1Kg a week is a pretty good result, especially for short rides as 25kms per ride. You did ask in your OP about increasing the distance. I would say this depends on your ambitions. If weight loss is your primary motivation then you seem to be doing as well as can be expected and there is no real...

    Training zones

OP not been back I see so perhaps wasting my breath, however.... I have to disagree with recommending 'Very High Intensity' rides concentrating on going faster for the OP who claims to be extremely unfit. JayKosta I must agree with, don't worry about zones just ride your bike. If you wish...

    Fat burn, muscle gain?

Hi Sorry not read all of the thread so sorry if repeating other comments. I have over the years made many come backs to cycling to quite a high level from pretty much zero. I always have a lot of weight to lose and I am always frustrated at a lack of weight loss for quite some time despite...

    Best thing since sliced bread?

How about a device fitted to all motor vehicles that will not allow them to get within 1 metre of any bicycle. Maybe fit bikes with a corresponding device, kind of like two opposing magnets? ;)

    Early starts...

Well I cant see laxative abuse on a regular basis can be very good. I would suggest getting up at least an hour before you go out, eat some cereals and toast, have a coffee and then try and go. Your bowels should be ready then. This is my habit and I have never had a problem.

Got any home made energy bar Recipes?

Fig Roll Biscuits I have always trained and raced on them, they are just the right size and full of natural fructose. They are also very cheap. I prefer the supermarket own brand over the original Jacobs because jacobs have changed the design and they now contain less fig. They are...

    Heart skipping beats? heart murmur?

I can't offer any advice but I think you need to get yourself to your GP for a check up, they may then refer you to a specialist if there is anything of concern.
