    Dylan Groenewegen discussion thread

After his display at Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, I wondered how he would compare against other riders. I mean, the way he beat Démare was truly amazing, especially given the fact that Démare wasn't exactly badly positioned, but it's still early season and Démare is just a single point of comparison...

    Sunweb

Yes, that was my association as well. However, there are also some differences between the two cases. The first difference is that in this case the money doesn't go through a major stakeholder in the sport (i.e., the UCI), but directly to an organization that should be relatively independent...

    All About Salbutamol

Re: Given the reference, I could also check if I have access. I work for a university, so it does depend on whether that journal is part of a subscription package.

    EPO is apparently useless

Re: I don't get this reply, but you're probably trolling. However, your username is "ScienceIsCool", so you apparently claim to have a thing for science. The article, not the topic title, claims that EPO is not effective in enhancing performance; nowhere does it claim that EPO does "nothing"...

    EPO is apparently useless

Re: Dutch Study: "EPO little to no effect on trained cyclist Can the mods merge this thread with the one above? Because the same article is discussed in that one, with a lot more replies.

Re: Let's wait until we know what the exact injury is. If it's indeed a broken leg, as is rumored now, then he'll not be back in time, if ever.

Tour de France 2017. stage 1: Düsseldorf, 14 km itt

Re: Re: Well, it's an important question because sustaining the wrong* fracture may end his career. I hope that's not the case, but it's certainly a possibility. *) Obviously, no fracture is "right", but some are more likely to end his career than others.

    EPO is apparently useless

Re: Dutch Study: "EPO little to no effect on trained cyclist Onzin. (Although that's doesn't have the same negative connotation and most here will understand/use "***"). You can find the thread for this study here: http://forum.cyclingnews.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=33344

    EPO is apparently useless

Just a quick reply, the appendix is available for download here. In most journals, the appendix and other supplemental materials are distributed separately from the paper. (If the link doesn't work, go to the paper's landing page and click "Supplemental Materials".) The appendix doesn't list the...

    EPO is apparently useless

To access the article's full text (either HTML or PDF) you need to register an account for the Lancet's website. Registration is free and will grant you access to the article (free access). Obviously Elsevier wants a bit of personal information (job etc.) and tries to subscribe you to a...

    Andre Cardoso positive for EPO

Foremost Non-Winner of Paris - Roubaix (Poll)

I'm too young to have experienced some of the riders on that list, so I know them only by legend and YouTube. That's makes it hard for me to be able to compare them to the riders I did watch during their career. If I you force me to cast a vote, then I'll vote Adri. I think that he has shown...

I think it's this crash. Doesn't really look out of the ordinary to me, I would be surprised if there would be much more friction.

    The Bot logic thread

Re: Re: As this is the discussion board of a general cycling website, I disagree with this. I think this should be an open discussion board on which people have the right to be wrong, from whatever perspective. Now, it is a discussion board, which means that while differences of opinion are...
