Giro d'Italia Il Giro d'Italia 2025: Who will win? 2nd rest day poll.

I went with Roglic, as that’s who I started with, and I don’t think he is out of it yet. But was very tempted to pick Ciccone, as it is possible his time has come, and I like his team. Pedersen, Konrad, Vacek, and Verona all look like they can contribute/support in different ways.

    Milano—Sanremo 2025: Who will win?

Went with Pedersen because I think everyone will be watching Pogacar, which means a sprint. I think he will have the best sprint after a huge effort over the Poggio.

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

It’s not a perfect comparison, for a couple of reasons, but in the 2023 Tour, after stage 14 JV was up by 4:43 on Carlos Rodriguez. This year he is up 4:12 on him. Carlos Rodriguez seemed like the most consistent GC rider in the two Tours, so that is why I selected him for the comparison. It...

Tour de France Who will win the 2023 Tour De France GC? Rest Day Poll 2

I was thinking about what to expect for the stage to Le Markstein during today’s stage, and a possibility occurred to me. If the GC is still competitive at that point, how the stage is raced could be affected by the KOM battle, if Ciccone or a non-GC rider is still contesting it. It is sort of...

Not to be overly morbid, but we can’t actually be sure of that just yet.

Tour de France 2023 Tour de France: Best of the Rest?

Went with O’Connor, has not been consistent this year, but has shown enough here and there over the last two or three years to be worth considering.

That seems the nearest comparison to me.

That is a fascinating statistic. Well done to find that.

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 18 (Lourdes – Hautacam, 143.2k)

Does anyone know if the 2008 times for Piepoli and Cobo are excluded from this list?

    Giro d'Italia 2022 Giro d'Italia, Stage 16: Salò – Aprica 202 km (Tuesday, May 24th)

It’s a long, demanding stage, so I think it will be the one that pretty much sets up the rest of the race. Carapaz and Almeida seem best equipped to handle this, and Hindley seems to be in the best form. Nibali I expect to show where he is really at in the race, which is what Blockhaus showed -...

    Giro d'Italia 2022 Giro d'Italia: Stage-by-stage Analysis

Each year I am astounded by the insight, love, and knowledge that this analysis displays. Thank you again for the time and effort that goes into something that I find more valuable every year.

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

I am probably over reading what is coming out regarding Froome, but it seems to me what the team have done is to tell Froome that there are no more excuses available to him. This year it is put up or shut up, and his value to the team is only as a rider. He has exhausted the positive publicity...

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

Have read article, and it does not make clear when the onset of this round of bilharzia took effect. The article implies he was fully recovered by the Deutschland tour, which I will go with, though the article is also clear on the fact that Froome does not want to talk about the issue. If he was...

Absolutely, but when does this round of bilharzia date to? Last year? This year? Was he treated and recovered for the Italian races at the end of the year?

But that’s why this is so strange. His performance can be clearly attributed to his crash in addition to his ongoing recovery from the 2019 crash. What does bilharzia have to do with anything at this point?
