Everyone looks tired. No one seems to have any snap left in the legs. Usually the last couple weekends turn out some good racing from the second row, but this year everyone looks to be just wrapping up their series standings and preparing for vacation.

There were very few opportunities to pass on that course, and as we've seen del Grosso doesn't mind taking it to a sprint. Being in front and controlling the pace and rhythm of the race is a good option if you are not the best on the day. Every tactic is a gamble, but Pim played the worst set of...

Pim also threw away his chance of winning. I race as a low level amateur and know that leading on a technical course is the best tactic when you are not the strongest rider. It reduces the amount of hard efforts or technical issues you may face. That course maybe had 2-3 spots where del Gross...

Good Men's racing in Belgium and an interesting one in the Netherlands. Very questionable tactics from Pim that may have cost the team the title. When del Grosso made it back after his crash, Pim sat up in the finishing straight and let del Grosso take the lead. On a course with little...

On gloves. I wonder if those used in XC skiing or biathlon would work well? Especially biathlon where you need a lot of dexterity and you can't let your hands get numb. As someone who lives in an area with cold and wet winter, I find most cycling specific gloves are terrible. Either too bulky or...

Vanthourenhout knows how to win and how to ham it up for the crowd. And there is clearly a beef with Kamp. I doubt he pulls the same shenanigans with anyone else.

Ah, I thought it was a more recent race that I had missed. One of the mid week events.

Where can I find this race? I am in the US, so finding CX racing is a real challenge.

Will anyone challenge Brand this year? I can't tell if she is really that good, or all the best competition is out with injury or otherwise. The rest of the field can only challenge her if they ride a perfect race. I would like to see Ryan Kamp win something, but he doesn't seem to ride like...

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

Need to have 3 expensive streaming services just to watch racing in the US. Its a joke, streams can be really bad as well. 240p quality some days. I really miss GCN+ and a VPN to watch every single race.

Paris-Roubaix 2025, one day monument, April 13 (men)

In this race the final selection more often than not doesn't come from an attack, but from the group resting between sectors and a handful of riders pressing on and getting a gap. I could see Pedersen or Kung winning by not relaxing and then either being in a small group sprint, or attacking...

    79th Dwars door Vlaanderen - A travers la Flandre ME (1.UWT) April 2nd 2025

Auburn, WA? I live pretty close to that area, never heard of the Fondo. Met him once at Metier in Seattle when he was still riding for Axeon-HB.

    Gent–Wevelgem – In Flanders Fields 2025

I don't understand the tactics on display from these teams and riders. After Mads was solo and they had come through the pluggestrasse, the peleton should have just ridden a tempo to maintain the gap around 60-90 seconds and stay together as much as possible until they were through with the...

Teams & Riders Filippo Ganna Discussion Thread

Very impressed with Ganna. Rode with a lot of grinta. Was really rooting for him in the sprint, but MVDP knows how to win those small group sprints.

They really need to find a way to separate the junior women into their own race. Even if it means a tiny field. But it is a shame the elite women constantly have 40min races due to this rule. Amateur races where I live get 45mins minimum!
